I want to invert a pair of mics for vocals and I was wondering if this will work
any comments suggestions welcome

The two female XLR's go to the mics and the male XLR goes to the mixer
so will this work or will I have to add anything to these designs I drew before I build it. thanks
any help appreciated

This will simply invert the phase of the microphone signal, because it's symmetric.
Normally this will not give any noticable change in the listening experience.
Some mikes have a built-in switch to change the polarity.
I guess to avoid some chance of feedback noise.

If two mikes are used on the same moment, maybe it's a different story.
If one of them produces an inverted signal, in the same room, it could mean that some common sound input would be eliminated in the mixed result.

I think closer sounds as well, if they are in the middle of the two mikes.
Elimination is in fact a too strong expression, because there will always be tiny differences.
But overall, it's the 180 degrees trick.
