thanks to ray wilson for putting up the original cct's
recently I drew up a board to enable up to 8 of the wsg functions to be
voltage controlled ,i finally got to test it on the weekend and happy to say it is working fine
i have all six oscilators plus the 2 mix pots wired up
the board also has the gate to filter freq mod for both responses switchable .i used a SPDT center off toggle .
basically this board just gets wired between the WSG board and the pots
all ccts are in parallel to the pots
spacing allows connectors to be used which makes things a bit easier to
connect up
originally i drew this up in expresspcb so if anyone wants the original
.pcb file i can email it just pm me.

Hi there,
this looks like a really nice little board, I was thinking along the same lines but using stripboard, this may finally prompt me to try making a pcb Smile

Any chance of a component overlay and example pin allocations?

thanks for this,
Pete.

Thank you for your interest
here is a rough overlay
note : if you are going to use the foil from the posting
you will need to print it out onto normal paper first to check the scaling
to use the 0.1 inch molex connectors . i really had a hard time getting it close, unfortuantly .pcb files are not an allowable file extension otherwise the process would be much simpler.
this board sits pretty much between the WSG and the pots all are in parallel connections

There is a method to print the image to .pdf that will give you correct scaling. You have to install a new printer and select "print to .pdf" There are some other options that I'm sure google could fill you in with.

So basically you're using the FETs as VCRs? Pretty slick! How large is the range?

seems the range is about the same as with vactrols but much faster response . ray wilson could probably answer that better
I'am running this off 2 MFOS 10 step sequencers as i did before with the vactrol ccts. But now the cv outs are normalled through 8 spdt center off switches so i can get a lot of combinations i also have the output going thru a yusynth VCA controlled by an MFOS ADSR and an MFOS LFO
it is still a noise maker but now it is a very rythmic one Wink
thanks for the tip i will look that up.
I have been looking for a better way to post these but unfortuantly my biggest problem is because i designed this in expresspcb which only puts out a .pcb file the only program that will open the file is expresspcb
I think i will have to look for another program to design in but alas it seems most come with far too many of the wrong restrictions.

having said that I am quite happy to email the .pcb file for this one to anyone that wishes it . If they have expresspcb program [free] it becomes very easy. easier than redoing it anyway Laughing
edit : check first post and a big thanks to synthmonger my life has just become a whole lot easier. Very Happy I have re posted the foil and added overall drawings in pdf format looks like they can just be printed straight out now
scaling appears to be correct

thanks diablojoy, this is great stuff!
I'll download a copy of expresspcb, as it seems the easiest way to print this out, then give it a go when I get some time and when I've finished my MFOS 10 step sequencer Smile

Pete.
