Hello,

Im a bit newbie! All over the net I see PCB from sDIY people that are in PDF format. I have access to a 'professional' PCB-building machine that takes Gerber files in order to make the PCBs.

How can I use the pdf files in order to make gerber files?
The first modules I want to play/experiment with are single side and single layer (if I use the correct terms)

thanks a lot
Tasos

Hi Tasos,

try this: http://swannman.wordpress.com/projects/pdf2gerb/
You need uncompressed PDFs though.
If you see a PDF here, you can ask the poster for a gerber file.

There are many people who design their PCBs with Adobe Illustrator, so that is possible yes. The perl script should work. Smile
