Hi guys, long time no talk. I've been playing with the demo and I'm finding myself very confused about the the LFO options for BPM and Clock Sync.

I would expect that f I set LFO speed to64/1 that the LFO cycle would last 64 bars. In practise, at a master clock of 120bpm it seems to last about 5-6 bars. This is really confusing me - the only way to get long cycles is to set the speed manually, which rather defeats the whole purpose of the clock sync option. In general, whatever beat division I set the LFO to, it never seems to cycle consistently with the tempo. It's really irritating.

Is it just broken, or am I doing something stupid?

On further investigation, the LFOs seem to hold sync quite well at low bar multiples/bpms but lose it as the LFO gets slower. I'll do some tests today and see if I can pin down where the sync seems to fail. It might simply be a bug at extreme values, though there's not much hope of getting it fixed if so. I wonder why so many synths are stingy with the options for clock sync at slow cycle speeds - the calculation is trivial, and my Waldorf micro Q is quite happy to do cycles of up to 256 bars.

Also, for all I know this is exclusively a demo problem...I have a G2 key arriving in the next day or two (thanks Philippe!) so I look forward to testing it on the hardware when it arrives.

After further testing, it does seem to be an issue only in the demo. Patching in clocked LFOs on the hardware so far behaves exactly as I'd expect. Yay!
