hi!

i just bought a very cheap elka x705 and almost everything is working, but in every octave D; D# and G keys don't play any sound.

i have the service manual with the schematics for it, but i don't know were to start looking.
any idea whats causing this problem?

thanks,
ruben

Hi,

although I haven't seen the schematics, it sounds like a faulty top octave divider or frequency divider chip.

Look for MK50240 (known for faults), or some red ITT chips of which I can't recall their exact name - those chips were widely used in organs. But the schematics will give you more insight which divider chips were used.

Besides of that, check the physical connections (wire, connectors) to the divider boards, as these will quite often fail, too.

Hope this gets you started.

Best wishes,

Tobias
