Nord Lead 3 no sound, not reacting to knobs

Hello all,

I recently acquired a used Nord Lead 3. I have two problems with it, that don't seem related:
- when I press the keys no sound comes out of any output (Headphones, A, B, C or D). I checked the routing which is S1, S1, S2, S2. Flashed the system with the last firmware from Clavia, downloaded the factory default banks. The NL3 does however show some MIDI out activity when I press the keys.

- The other problem is with the knobs. When I turn them, the NL3 does display the current value of the corresponding parameter, I do see some NIDI out activity, but the parameter does not change (LED does not move, value on the LCD does not change). Memory protection id OFF. This behaviour did not change after flashing the NL3.

I do have the typical power on click on every output when I turn my NL3 on while the speaker is already on.

Does someone have an idea where these problems could come from ?

Sounds like local is off ... should be a setting somewhere, what it does is that it sends out keys and knobs over MIDI, but doesn't use them to control the synth engine. To be used standalone local mode should be on.

Could also be a loose connection between the Motherboard, Panel and Keyboard...

Worst would be a broken A/D converter...

It was the local setting.
It's nicely hidden in the user manual
