Hi, this is my first post here in Max/MSP - PD forum, and nice meeting you brothers and sisters.

I've got a question: if i have packed data.. let's say..
from [pack 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0]
and I got an array 'a1' (length = 8 or longer)

how can I easily make each value in the pack goes into each a1 slot easily without having to loop the whole thing? is there any simple way? can't find in the help. but the help supports loading values from a text file, but perhaps there can be a more simple way for this?

Thanks.

add an extra "0" at the beginning of the [pack]. use the left inlet to choose the position where to write in the array. connect the [pack] to an [s] with the name of the array. there is no similar shortcut for reading.

when i say that there is no shortcut, i mean no builtin shortcut. there might be an "external" for doing this, and it might be already in pd-extended, who knows, or else you can make yourself an abstraction.
