BCR2000 and Evolver |
 |
|
I asked the same question at DSI section in this forum. So, Is it possible to use the BCR 2000 buttons to send program changes to a Mono Evolver Synth?
For example can I set a button at BCR2000 to play bank B, program 12 at the Evolver?
If so, how can I do that?
Thanks in advance. |

You haven't any more, because I just deleted your post.
Jeep, please don't double post. Just sit tight and be patient. If you hear nothing, bump this post. If not, no one can answer your question!
However, without looking at the manual, the answer to your question is probably yes. In the old days people used to say "rtfm", but since then we don't do that here no more. "Study" I think was the PC alternative. _________________ ACHTUNG!

Thanks for the fast reply.
Sorry for double post. I did that because i know is not everybody that reads all the sections of the forum and because is related with 2 different devices (BCR2000 and Evolver). Anyway I will not do it again. I understood the message.
I did read the manual of both units and unfortunately i could not figure out how to do it (probably because I am dumb), that is why i asked here.
Is too bad i don't have enough technical knowledge about MIDI like the most of people have here in this forum. Once again, sorry.
All the best. |

The BCR2000 manual describes fairly well how to send program change messages (type = PC). Just try it out.

Hmm, maybe it isn't that clear. Anyway, here's what you do:
Hold down edit and push a button.
Turn the Type knob until "PC" shows on the display
select the bank for this button on val1
select the program number on val2
If you want to put it on a knob, select a bank and the knob will select the program as you turn it.
In my manual there is a big table on page 14 that describes the different settings for the knobs and buttons.
The good thing about simple questions like these is that guys like me can jump in and feel clever.

One more time, thanks a lot Stefan
I will try to make the set tonight. So according to your explanation, if I understood well, I don't need to make any settings at Evolver? (beside the basic ones like same choose the midi channel as the BCR2000, midi receive enabled, etc.)
Maybe it will be easier than I expect, the problem is, somehow I put in my mind that what I wanted need more skills and a good knowledge about MIDI messages (something I definitely not have). I hope I was wrong.
On time, I will let you know if it works or not.
Best regards
J. |
