i´m still in the progress of putting together my starting-system, i´m really looking forward to get started! one of the questions i had was:
"was also thinking, what kind of delay/reverb to get. when i borrowed a moog voyager i got a green line6 pedal with it, sounded really good! but i kind of like the thought of having the effect in my rack. what do you use?"
would be really nice to get some tips in that matter. for instance, is the doepfer springverb good? or is there any good multichannel reverb/delay you could recommend?
thanks

I don´t know much about the Doepfer springverb, but a spring reverb module is always nice to have. You´ll find that such a module will be less used for adding something that resembles actual reverb, but instead for adding character within a patch. That possibly makes little sense now, I guess you have to explore this yourself. Main point is that a spring reverb device adds a bit of rattle and noise and distortion that certainly changes the character of the VCOs in a very noticeable way to say the least. And you will soon figure out that various schemes of phasing/summing/subtraction using in part a signal that has been violated by a spring reverb can result in hilariously interesting sounds.

you are right there, but it sounds very interesting what you are saying and maybe also a reason to have it within the rack instead of an external pedal or something like that. i can´t wait to explore the magic about all this! Smile
