Ok, so im well aware that i have probably screwed up royally somewhere with my build. it all seems to be connected ok but the panner isnt working correctly. i get nothing out of one channel(left) for about 10 seconds then a horrible noise creeps in on that channel. ive checked the traces and i cannot find any faults. any voltages i should be checking or at certain points in the circuit so that i can see what may be happening with the circuit.
this was a monster build and i really dont want to rebuild it, although i will if i have to.. many thanks for your help and your great designs.

Yes it's probably a misconnection or a faulty components. The fact it occurs after 10s suggest either a dead capacitor (for example a reverse polarisation of a chemical cap) or an overheating IC due to a shortcut (are the ICs normaly warm ?)
Have you built the VC-Paner on its own or with the output mixer board ?
Can you post photos of the PCB (component side and track side ) ?
