Is it possible to modify the Minimoog VCF or the EMS VCS3 VCF, to get sounds like TB-303?

I haven't built either but the diode ladder is way closer to what you want I think. The synthacon might also be a good choice for that type of sound. Any slight modifications probably won't radically alter the sound. You want to start with something that sounds like what you want.

forshee thanks!
I own three DIY TB-303 VCO's (1:1 clones) and a Doepfer A-103 VCF6 (18dB LP) ... I would like to find a better filter ... I also have a GCS Syntacon VCF, but I do not really like it ... I'll try to build a Yusynth Syntacon VCF

If you like cgs' synthacon VCF then chances are the Yusynth's Syntacon VCF, because they are basically the same. The EMS filter might be a closer match of the TB303 filter because both are diode based (thought the TB303 uses tansistors wired as diodes) and are 18dB/octave low pass filters.

Thanks Yves!
I have a EMS VCF and sounds very nice vith all VCO's ...the only problem is the sourcing of the polarised 16uF/50V caps, I have found only 16uF/400-500V to big caps... so I have installed a 22Uf. which malfunctions can arise by using the 22uF instead 16uF (C15)? I am certainly going to build one more EMS VCF! Though without question I am still going to try and find a TB303 filter.

22µF instead of 16µF is alright. No malfunction to expect. This is only an AC coupling for the output buffer stage.

I know this is the YuSynth forum, but people have got close to that sound using the Oakley Diode SuperLadder VCF. Cool

Thanks wmonk !

It is good to know, though is it possible to configure them as 18dB?
I will be buying one or two Kits from you seeing that I cannot match the transistors.
