it's really getting quite absurb, glad I haven't ordered anything myself,.
I probably would have gone crazy after 1 month of waiting.
I'm actually wondering if he's still alive , I mean hope nothing else
happened to him, he used to drop by in chat once in a while, but haven't
seen him there for a long time. Then again I don't really expect him to show
up ever again.
btw. did anyone get stickers from doug ? The last thing I heard from him
is that he got a silkscreening kit to produce electro-music stickers _________________ "My perf, it's full of holes!"

I paid my deposit to Doug in January 2010 - over three and a half years ago.
I've reflected upon the fact that Doug has now withdrawn from virtually every public forum and has indicated that apart from his sporadic postings on the eight-oh-eight site (not updated in the last two months), the only way to get information is by sending him a personal email. However, his most recent posts as usual have very little to do with the 808 kit and instead detail his slow progress through a huge backlog of unread emails....
The ludicrous nature of the timescale and of Doug's stance has finally sunk in ... I no longer have any faith in Doug's ability or commitment to deliver anything
Accordingly I'm reluctantly joining the queue of folk pursuing a refund. |

yes, it's nothing but a scam.
See Doug's post on page 8 where he says he has my x0xb0x and microwave and was going to arrange for shipping.
This was back in March, more than 6 months ago. I never heard back from him. _________________ http://myspace.com/pixmusik |

Kits of the YOCTO are now on sale. The first batch sold out, but the next batch goes out Jan. 1st.
I still would like an MB-808 kit, Doug. |

Looks like the eight-oh-eight.org site has disappeared - not a good sign. |

February 2014: MB-808 Still Alive
Yes, the MB-808 web site is offline. No, the project has not died or disappeared. Moogah didn't pay the web hosting bill and he changed the password so I can't login and pay it myself. I sent him an email message about it and will take care of things as soon as I can.
This weekend, February 22 and 23, 2014, I will try to recreate the web site here on MIDIboxAddict.com.
Quick Status Update
As far as I know, I have processed all refunds that were requested in 2013. I have two refund requests to process from this year. (Yes, requests from batch four have been moved up in the queue.) If you'd like a refund, please ask now, as I will be processing shipments next month (March) and will be asking for final payment then.
You can contact me at doug at midibox addict dot com.

I have recently come across the files for one of the revisions of the mb808. I think they are for v1. All of the files appear to be there besides the files for the output mixer. I am considering having a prototype printed to see if it works, but I would ideally like to have someone verify the files before I do so.
I have drawn out the schematics for the mixer on paper but not sure how to incorporate it to the existing files. You can take a look at the files for yourself at the link below. I would love to hear any feedback you might have.

It's now safe to say we'll never see any refund from Doug.
I'm very, very , VERY disappointed! Shame on you Doug!
I was so much looking forward to this MB808 project with years of hope and fate it will some day be reality.
I've never said this out loud and this seems to be the proper time and place. |
