Hi there,

I have an ipad, just bought the Sample Lab sequencer app and essentially want to now buy a drum machine app and possibly a few more traditional a keyboard sounds apps ( so rhodes, pianos etc )

Am wondering:

Is there a way to run these apps at the same time?

I am about to purchase an iRig for the Midi / USB bit, is this the best way forward in light of my purchasing thoughts?

All advice gratefully received.

The original specs for IOS was one foreground app only.. with some exceptions regarding IOS background stuff like notifications and such. This is almost still the rule, but there are now apps that can kinda send/receive midi and audio while in the background. I know there are guys here who are more up to date than me on what kinda works and what doesn´t. The current rule that still applies according to Apple is that the foreground app takes over the iPad.. not quite true.. so do turn off notifications when performing with your iPad.
