Hello.
I've just recently located this website and am quite impressed with the wealth of information available. The dedication to the cause of electronic music is inspiring.
I've been for the last year or so been using Reason, TCworks Spark, Bias Peak, a Clavia Nord Lead II, and a Korg MS2000 to make tracks. Previously I had a hardware setup that consisted of an Akai s900 and Alesis MMT8, with a cheap Zoom processor. My hermetic nature (and a perceived lack of interest in electronic music from those immediately around me) has relegated my music to my enjoyment alone. I would like (with mild feelings of consternation) to show my tracks online but am quite unfamiliar with the process by which one would go about displaying these. I work on a mac g4 but do have some songs on the harddrive to this particular computer. Must I register with a website to upload my tracks? I've tried adding attachments on posts but the page does not fully load. Is there some setting engaged on my computer (of which I am unaware) that is inhibiting this procedure or am I simply going about it incorrectly? If someone could give me this information I would be deeply appreciative. I am sorry for this initiatory request but I am new to the online community and am hopeful with regard to sharing my work with those who may be interested in it. Thank you for reading!

You can post mp3 files as attachements here. The total starage space is limited to about 20 MB. You can see your quota by clicking on your profile (right to menu group on any forum page). For various reasons, one can't upload files that are much larger than about 5 to 8 MB. That may be your problem. Also, uploading files takes a long time, especially large mp3s. You have to wait for two transfers, one from your computer to our main server, and then for the transfer to our file delievery server located about 10 timezones away. It should not matter that you are using a Mac.

I suggest you try uploading a very small mp3 first. Let us know if you continue to have problems. It's customary to post mp3s on the Online Music forum, but you can try posting short ones here until you get the technique sorted out.
