Subject description: 5U Module Conversion
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

I had a rack mount PAiA MIDI2CV that quite sometime ago I converted to a 5U module. I just responded on the PAiA forum about adding front panel controls for the mode and thought I would post a link here to my site which has a few photos of the conversion. It was done quite some years ago so my digital photos are not the best.

I first used the PAiA MIDI2CV as a dedicated processor for my Kurzweil Ribbon Controller as it is a MIDI device. Later I wanted higher resolution and designed my own 12 bit MIDI-to-CV controller for the Kurzweil. I decided to utilize the PAiA MIDI2CV for a dedicated 5U module after I got my PSIM-1 module and added MIDI to it. The PSIM-1 has 4 outputs but I can chain the MIDI to the PAiA and get another 8 CV outputs. It is a nice module and works well.
