Anyone using a G1 editor with a windows tablet? |
 |
|
I successfully run my G1 with an old itronix gobook whick is good for muting sequencer steps on the fly ect but I'm wondering if anyone out there has managed to do the same with a windows tablet which would be much more transportable.

Yes! NME works great on my Microsoft Surface with Windows 8.1 (just tried it). Patching with a pen is awesome.

I'm considering getting a G1, and I'm on a Mac running close to the latest OS.
I was thinking of getting a cheaper windows tablet to run as an editor for the G1. What are the options? Is 8.1 my best bet? I've been out of the loop on the windows versions for a while |

Eh, I am too, but the editor seemed to work fine on 8.1 so you're probably fine with whatever version is most current. |

Unless you need a portable solution for the editor...I'd recommend any compact desktop pc running 7 and up + a larger touchscreen. I'm using a 23" one at 1280x720 and it's the beeses' kneeses. |

Yes, Jack Hertz.
Not sure if he is on this board, but he is in the Facebook G1 group.
I know he's using it on a tablet, and I do think it is a Windows table.
