Nord Rack / Lead 1 Prophet 5 programs

Hi

I notice a certain range of performance banks features recreations of the factory prophet 5 sounds, spread out over banks A-D

The question is how do we hear only one sound at a time, do you need to switch all slots to midi channel Off, then turn on to e.g channel 1 to hear it, then switch it back off, go to slot B, change to channel 1, then off before repeating with slot C and D??

Is there a shortcut we can press to 'solo' a Slot?

Eg. I choose the first performance containing prophet 5 sounds, I want to go through hearing each program but I can only hear the slot which I'm sending midi note data to. I don't want to hear all 4 slots simultaneously, I want it to be like I'm sat in front of a prophet 5 hearing one patch / program at a time.

I assume you have a rack version...

So press and hold shift and press MIDI, then let go and press MIDI again. You can now change the global channel, set it to anything other than any of the slots, and your keyboard controller too of course.

Now when you select a single slot you should hear only that slot.

I hope that works, I have the keyboard but i know MIDI can be a bit confusing on the rack.
