Here's a slightly far fetched question.

I don't know what's wrong at the moment, but I keep having really stupid accidents with stuff I'm circuit bending. I was happily testing some newly installed bends on a videonics MX-1, when a wire I soldered to the board came loose and apparently touched something it shouldn't have.
BAM permanent glitch! Ouuuh, bad feeling.
BUT: I've done a bit of troubleshooting and I've narrowed the damage down to one of the video processors. Everything else still seems to work as it should. Luckily, the chip is socketed, so I could supposedly replace it with a functioning one and resurrect the mixer. The IC in question is a Videonics vdnx-0012-01.
I found one supplier in the US that still stocks them (Quest Components), but I have never dealt with them, they have a minimum order of 25$ and I am generally hesistant to order just one part and then having to pay an exorbitant shipping cost for it.
So here's a shout out: does anyone of you know anyone (preferably European) who serviced Videonics gear and might still have one of those in a box in their basement or a broken MX-1 or anything that might help me here?
Any tip is well appreciated.
