Join me and take a break from the crazy world outside listening to some chill out tunes tonight, where I mixed mid to low paced music this time. We had some nice sunny days in the end of this March, but even the weather decided to go for April now. And while this edition appears on April 1st, there is no joke inside but all very cool music that was published recently or will be soon. I am really lucky to have music putting my thoughts to breeze from time to time. So do the tracks of tonight very well composed by Roberto Sass (Psyche), CIALYN (Sour Leaves), Morgen Wurde & Tis (Wacht), ELEON (Hidden in Time), Sigel (midnightradio compilation 110), Eisenlager (Can Potatoes Cure Insanity), Simon Klee (The Light Of Elevation), Second Sight (International Index), Stan Dart (Electronic).

Well, it's Spring. Kinda. And it is April. Definitely. At least according to the weather switching between snow and rain and sunshine within a few days. Is this still important? I do not know. What I do know, though, is that music is important. Music keeps you sane and makes life worth living. So here we go for a nice bunch of tracks providing aural delicatessen. Have a great time with music by F.D. Project (Color of Life), Eagle (Synth. Music) (Hypervelocity Star), Audio Obscura Vs Black Sonar (A Scream From Outer Space), Hyrn (Furrows in the Ground), Johan Tronestam (Spring Volume 1), Ivan Black (Last Assignment), Colin Rayment (Polyphonic Memories II), Bernhard Wöstheinrich & Alexander Paul Dowerk (Vault Amusement), Tangerine Dream (Raum).

I am not sure what to say about this time of the year. It should have been some days for peace and hope, so the music on this edition does actually go in this direction. What can one do other than hope for the world becoming a better place? There are good people out there, at least that's what I believe and what I experience in music. Enjoy this hopeful hour with music by Marcello23 (Zeitgeist), David Helpling (IN), Will Ackerman (Positano Songs), Bernward Koch (Dreamy Piano Music to Relax), Ronald Van Deurzen (Tale of Dreams), Gian Berselli & Jérémy Marais (Creative Stillness), Divine Matrix (Journeys), Steve Orchard (For Sunny Days), Stefan Erbe (Distopia).

It seems unbelievable, but these atrocities are still on-going. Only because of a few old, white guys living in the barbaric ages where the bats ruled the world. Four weeks ago I featured Musicians for Ukraine Volume 1, an album where all earnings go to humanitarian help for fugitives in need. Now, there is Volume 2 available, and this show is solely dedicated to this album with great music by AUEL, Alchemorph, Deep Sky Musics, Two Weeks, Inum, LA Fillette, Utopia Fade, Eagle Rays, Carameladora, Peter Wild, Another Dawn, Loss Combinator, Renovatio, and Olduvai (Musicians For Ukraine Volume 2).

What comes after death? There are some theories about it, and as far as I know, noone has yet proven any of them. Well, I hope there is some kind of heaven, where all the really good guys meet up and have some great time. Something I also wish for Klaus Schulze, who passed away this week. Sad news to all EM lovers, indeed. What I do not wish for anybody is to come back dead (or undead for that matter) and live a haunting un-life. The latter is proposed by many books and movies, the youngest being a virtual move called Dawn of the Undead released today, where I have the original soundtrack for you. Hope you will still enjoy the show with music by Klaus Schulze (Angst), Talking to Ghosts, Hellweed, Aestheia, Myth, Progeny -1, Time Away, Ambient Indigo, Wane of Summer, Promethex, K37 (Dawn of the Undead).

Do you also often wish for a crystal ball? Wouldn't it be great to be able to see the future? Or would this impose you trying to change the future? Which would render the vision by the crystal to not come true. So it it still the future? There are tons of books and movies about time travel and how it could work. Ok, different story though. And I am not sure where I am going with this at all. For tonight's edition, I chose to focus on serenity. Kind of. I just need some quietness in live for a moment, for a glimpse. Join me, will you? Really great tunes by Dave Luxton (Ghost of a Small Child), Karmacosmic (Inner Peace), Jeff Greinke (Noctilucent), Craig Padilla (Discovery of Meaning), Time Away (Journey to Bytopia), OneAmbient4 (Spring Volume 2), Rusty Crutcher (Oracle Of Delphi), Michael Stearns (Planetary Unfolding)

There is beauty in repetition, especially, if it is not the same all the time. Sounds paradox? Well, people do love symmetry in things. At least, most of us do. It is a sign of beauty. And if there is something out of the order, one can easily get disturbed by it. On the other hand, if something is too symmetrical, we easily get bored. So tiny divergences are cruicial to make things interesting. This holds for visuals as well as aural things. I love a great sequence, may it be rhythm, bass guitar, or a step sequencer. But if it stays the same for too long, I lose interest. Some people are masters of making it sound interesting, and here they come in numbers with Fanger & Schönwälder feat. Lutz Graf-Ulbrich (Analog Overdose 6), K.I.Companion (Wayfarer), The Tin Box (Thirteenth Listen), Eisenlager (Supermax), Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate (The Confidence Trick), Wellengärtner, Wöstheinrich & Parsick (Ultima Ratio).

Well. What do you do, when the world gets crazy? About three weeks ago I crafted edition 623 to air for when I'm out of town. Everything was set up and scheduled. But than a tragedy happened: Vangelis died. I was saddened, as he is one of my musical idols for sure. Having the show as planned did not seem right. So I cancelled it. 2022 seems to be a bad year for electronic music fans so far with all the losses. Just when live events seem to come back to enjoy our music, life tries to turn us down again. Now. For tonight, I redid edition 623 to honor all the great musicians and supporters we lost by example. I chose mostly tribute tracks, as I am surely not alone with my grief. Join me in celebrating their greatness with tracks by Depeche Mode (Spirit /Deluxe), Luna Firma, Kuutana, The Roboter, and Sequential Dreams (In Memoriam - A Tribute to Vangelis), Eagle (Synth. Music) (The Superclean Dreammachine - A Hans Moret (Hans Prisma) tribute), Rob Papen & Ron Boots (Klaus Schulze Tribute).

Back in my youth, when I started listening to music, there of course was the songs my parents were listening to. But their styles did not resonate with me. I did listen to some country, folk and pop at the time, actually tried to record myself singing (which was terrible), but rather soon got into instrumental music. First it was guitars (which I tried to learn, too, but failed due to my clumsy fingers) but then I discovered organs and keyboards. It took quite a while until one had the computer to have all the instruments and recording equipment at your fingertips. And music evolved very fast regarding electronics. I now love lots of styles, therefore you get different music each show. So tonight we are up for a more current style of electronic music, where we meet some great artists for fresh and progressive sounds with ELEON (Hidden in Time), Divine Matrix (Journeys), Eisenlager (Atombomben Musik), 6TH CROWD (Sokolonko), Salvatore Mercatante (SM Synthesis), Radium88 (We Are All Dreaming Now), illocanblo (Thirteenth Listen), Existential Wabbit (Thirteenth Listen), Globular (Holobiont).

Back in 2020 we thought the world is falling apart with all the pandemic actions. Now it's mid 2022, and humankind is still at the brink of insanity with viruses and pox and, foremost, incredible crimes in killing people in either massacres or war. When I was younger, I thought, humans will evolve and learn that only together we will build a future worth living. Well, I was wrong (with the evolving part). Does your mind also spin around in unbelief of what happens out there? Mine does. But there is one thing that holds me together for some time: great music. Like the one I have on the show tonight with the fantastic Saafi Brothers (Make Pictures With The Sound), Aux25 (Ocean & Stars), Nicholas Gunn (Entering (Twin Falls)), ELEON (In The Dream Garden), Stan Dart (Electronic), Sami Konzo (Stick), Poolz (Woodlands), Anderdog (Thirteenth Listen), Globular (A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy).

A few shows earlier I talked about repetition and how it is special to us humans. Actually can be hypnotic and make you get lost in thoughts or sounds. Most often, sounds back of the days of traditional electronic music is considered sequencer music. Well, it's not, although in many cases it is a main part. More important to this kind of music is the evolution of a track, where one can actually follow its development from some interesting start up to its peak at the end. I love this kind of music, which is not stuck to repeating verse and chorus over and over. It's like a good novel which seems to roll upon you in waves that get bigger on each roll. Also a reason, why such tracks tend to be quite long. A current selection of such tracks are on this edition, brought to us by Altus (Anthropoaliena), Thaneco & DASK (Stages), MindPhaser (Midnightradio Compilation 112), Jim Ottaway (Somewhere In-Between), Basic Principles (Colours), Ivan Black (The Society For The Protection Of Unwanted Objects), Sensory++ (Lessons in Humility).

Bananas are best to serve silly. At least, this seems the motto for the latest two pictures I chose as covers. I am no fan of bananas. And it is not because of their economical impact (which is not too bad actually compared to local fruit), but I find them to be too sweet. Though, my taste changed from back when I was young regarding sweetness. Nowadays it is more the slightly stronger chocolate I like rather than sugar heavy popular one. I still do like fried bananas as you get them in an asian booth or restaurant. But that is taste. And what did not change is my taste in music. It is still that instrumental electronic style that gets me. Maybe, I broadened in variations, but it's still similar. Tonight, you will get some very cool progressive stuff by Vortex Elements (Distance), The Tin Box (Thirteenth Listen), K.I.Companion (Wayfarer), Paris Music Corp. (Paris Music Corp.), iNFO (Hedera Helix), Räven Musen (Peppermint Soldier), Obukhovaudio (Opioid), Radium88 (We Are All Dreaming), Collins (Skins), Pulselovers (Circles Within Circles), Salvatore Mercatante (SM Synthesis).

My brain is currently really busy. At day time as well as at night. Which makes it also difficult to find some sleep. Hence, looking out for a way to sooze its acitivies once in a while by listening to ambient style music. Well, you know, I have plenty of those by a great number of also great artists. And tonight is the night to again share some of these fine tracks with you. If not being too serene, like the once you get tonight, they might open doors to wonderful worlds of thoughts. It might be like living in a dream, at least for some moments until reality hits again. So let us enjoy those moments served to us by Jim Ottaway (Somewhere In-Between), Meg Bowles (Pilgrimage), Violet Mist (Cyberwave), Thaneco & DASK (Stages), Mike Clay (Somewhere in Space and Time), Orde107 and Post Apocalyptic (Polysphere Vol. 2), Basic Principles (Colours), jarguna & more (Chimera of a New World, Session Two).

Last week I promised it will get more serene and here we are. Going further into ambient sounds with this edition, but in no way boring I promise you that. Another week where I throw myself into relaxation mode listening to sounds that are soothing and not giving me any tickle to start moving any bone. Perfect for some tense days. How was your week? Well, ok, mine was not that bad and I am sure I have quite a comfortable life. To those who haven't: I hope it will get better. Meanwhile, maybe tonight's music will help at least to ease your mind for a little while. Featuring great tracks by Wane of Summer and Sunwarper (Bytopia: Dothion), Aestheia (Bytopia: Shurrock), Zero Ohms (Cloudwalker & the Ascent), Wellengärtner (Floating), Alio Die & Dirk Serries (The Chapters of the Eclipse), theAdelaidean (Eternity is [free!]).

Time for changing gears. Not so ambient tonight, but with a quite diverse selection of music to also tease you for two upcoming events here in Germany. You may visit one or the other or both to get the full potion of live music. It's not only music, of course, as these are rather parties than concerts only. But there is more on this show than only event announcements, as great new albums are coming up which I will give you a bit of a taste upfront. Well, I will stop telling and start showing. Join me for fantastic music by Joerg Dankert (Between the meantime), Transient Visitor (TV2), Transient Visitor (TV2), Elektronische Maschine (Kampf Maschine), M.O.B.S. (Aus dem Nichts), Menzman & Friends (Insights), Suriya (Schallplatte 23), SKOULAMAN (Raumzeit Festival Digital), Däcker (The Self-fulfilling Prophecies).

Ok, this was kind of a terrifying week for me, so let's get into some nice and easy going music tonight. No, nothing dramatic happening to me, but it just felt that way. And, tell you what, listening to music has helped me quite a bit to get through. It did not matter what kind of music though, may it be even dark and terrifying on its own. Just keeping the mind busy with something else than darker thoughts does it. How do you experience music? Does it inspire you? Lift you up? Annoy you perhaps at times? Well, the music on this show should simply delight you. Listen in to tracks by Nicholas Gunn (Into the Bliss), Anna B May (In Another Life), Evenfall (Ubiquity), Rick Sparks (Speak Peace), Tron Syversen (A New Spring), Robert Fox (Timeless Vol 2, Best of Robert Fox 2005-2022), Forest Robots (Supermoon Moonlight Part Two), Joseph L Young (Into The Unknown), Delay Tactics (Viola's Ascent), John Gregorius (In Awe), Steen Chorchendorff Jorgensen (Above Ground Under the Clouds)

The heat is back, literally, not only musically. And isolation at my home works quite wrong around: hot outside means hot inside and vice versa. Of course, the rooms do not cool down as fast as the outside, that would make thinks much easier. So, no good days for being in home office. Ice cream to the rescue? Well, no. For once, your body will produce heat when digesting such cold stuff and second it's no good for my sugar levels, I tell you that. For some refreshment, you will get traditional inspired music tonight with some really fresh releases by the way. Enjoy tracks by Colin Rayment (Equilibrium), Vortex Elements (Distance), Ivan Black (Millennium People), Cousin Silas & Wilfried Hanrath (Cousin Silas & Wilfried Hanrath), Joerg Dankert (Between the meantime), Steve Roach (What Remains).

So, we had a nice little club event last weekend and it was great to see some people live and in color again. I mentioned the live music being played in past editions, which was also nice to hear not only coming out of my headphones. And then there is the catering, of course, one of the main reasons to go to a grill party. But, no, it's mostly the people. And having the joy to talk about our favorite passion: electronic music. Tomorrow is another such event for all who can make it. But tonight, you will get something completely different in style with tracks by Pete Ardron (Butterfly Tree), Saafi Brothers (Make Pictures With The Sound), niteffect (Memento), Werner Niedermeier (Grace Under Quarantine), Monolink and Pantha du Prince (Erik Satie. What a sweatful week. Not only were the temperatures on a high again, and for this my home office not having air condition really sucks, but life also did some hot turns. Well, not complaining much, as most of it is consequently self inflicted. Anyway, all in all very good reasons to put on some music that cools you down. And luckily, there are plenty of great tracks that do the trick. Once more a great thank you to all the artists and labels submitting such cool (pun!) albums and tracks for this show. Tonight, going relaxed with music by ELEON (Magnetica), Pete Ardron (Butterfly Tree), Dominik Eulberg (Erik Satie. Fragments), KoolaKooka (Dubnacht in Ludwigshafen), Poolz (Woodlands), Encounters (A Path Beyond), Steen Chorchendorff Jorgensen (Above Ground Under the Clouds), Forest Robots (Supermoon Moonlight Part Two), Tabilonder (Luminescencia), Cass Anawaty & Brian Fechino (Let Go), Cousin Silas & Ron Shayler (Collaborations).

When I started syndae in 2008, I was quite "limited" to music I knew from my closer friends and the local community on electronic music. Only in early 2009 the first track from some kind of online label named kahvi found its way to my ears. It was Mikael Fyrek's A Thousand Years and One. Since that time, I regularily searched and picked music from so called netlabels, where great musical treasures were hidden in freely given music by lots of new artists from all around the world. These days, on July 14th each year, it is Netlabel Day. Multiple netlabels publish especially on that day to celebrate their existence. Well, I am a bit late this year, but tonight is netlabel day. Enjoy the variety of styles and sounds with Beolost (Left behind you), Mar io (Grace Under Quarantine), AViD | Advances in Obsolete Technology (An Introduction to Believe in Billy Records), Akemi Tanaka (We Came In Peace), ROSE (10), Cutside & Trey (Tripoholic), Switchmaster (Netlabel Day 2022), Alex Figueira (Mentallogenic), Luis Marte ft. So I am watching this asian show lately. I was expecting a series with some martial arts combined with magic, which sounded just like a good watch. Well, it turns out rather to be a soap opera with touches of fantasy. It's not too bad. it contains some nice character development, funny characters, and other nice elements. What really annoys me, though, is the absolute cheesy music. Especially in "romantic" scenes it turns into some asian schlager music and I am so happy not to understand a word. Always great to be able to head over to some nice ambient and electronic music of my playlist afterwards. And I have some beautiful serene ones for you tonight with Stan Dart (MurInsel, Vol. 5), Ambiente Solstice (Comet's Dust), Abdicant (In-Group), City of Dawn & Sherry Finzer (Moonwheel), Progeny -1 (Bytopia: Shurrock), Loneward (Our Unyielding Sky), Cousin Silas & Eisenlager (Sense Of Doubt 1), Wellengärtner (Arctic).

Well, sometimes, life gets between plan and reality. So it happened as we mourn another tragic loss to the electronic music world with Mark Shreeve. Yet another broken key in the realm, which I dedicate tonight's edition to with music by Redshift (Turning Towards Us), Abdicant (In-Group), Tonal Assembly (Four Pieces For Sonic Solitude), Colin Rayment (Equilibrium), Spectral Tune (Perspectivia), Ivan Black (Drowning In Your Chant), Gert Emmens & Ron Boots (A Night at Blackrock Station).

Once in a long while I take on submissions on syndae that do not really fit to the Ambient or electronic Music focus. Well, I have had Synthwave on before, and tonight it is Synthpop. With lyrics! Yeah, I know. But all in all they do have a similar root in electronic and synthesizer based music, so it is a bit of a stretch but in my opinion change is good. So tonight you will get something completely different with great and wonderful tracks by Lisa Gerrard & Marcello De Francisci (Exaudia), Alphaville (Eternally Yours), Cub\cub ft. Louisa Osborn (Radiant Crush), Telefis (a hAon), Perpacity (Granite), Richard Evans (Sentinel), Circuit3 (Overview Effect), Panjoma (Sun and Moon), Spray (Ambiguous Poems About Death), Your Preferred Retailer (Better Later).

So, I had to cancel my vacation. Just the day before, my dear brother passed away. He only got 49. The previous show was recorded before I knew, but I did not want to cancel it. So here we go. The aftermath of this tragic loss. His music was very much different from mine. Punk. Heavy Metal. Nothing that fits to me or my feelings. Tonight's edition is still dedicated to him, with a selection of music that musically reflects my state. And the titles of tracks or albums are fitting as well. It mostly is recent or coming music, so you might find one or the other track to your liking, still. In this show you will find music by 4T Thieves (Futures End), Roberto Sass (Against the Tide), Janne Hanhisuanto (Moon on the Man), Ivan Black (Behind All The Smoke), Sverre Knut Johansen (Metahuman), Volker Lankow (Journey To Transient Places), Massimo Discepoli (An unusual way to disappear), Nadim Haque (Funeral).

Tonight's edition is kind of self implying. It's focus is on a compilation themed for these changing times, which have pushing and challenging sides close to each other. After last weeks challanging edition, this time it's the more positive realm, as my track was chosing to be part of said compilation. I am very happy, as there are quite a number of fine tracks on the album. But, of course, there is more than just this compilation on the show. Quite a number of current releases with excellent music to be heard. Have a wonderful time with music by Spectral Tune, Tonal Assembly, WEGA, Talking to Ghosts, Stan Dart, Pergamoon (Zeitenwende), Eagle (Synth Music), DreamerProject (Fading Light), Bett Butler & Joël Dilley (Gracia), Salvatore Mercatante (DECAS), Janne Hanhisuanto (Moon on the Man).
