I just acquired an G2 and am very excited.

One small problem - the right channel of the headphone out intermittently cuts out

It always works when first powering up but after a few minutes of playing starts cutting out, the only way sometimes to get it back to to power down and back on again.

What could it be?
Do I need to replace the jack? or perhaps it just needs to be re-soldiered ?

Any advice is appreciated.

Hmm… It’s possible that it might be a bad solder joint. But the fact that the problem occurs after a while (warm-up) seems a little odd to me. I would think that a bad headphone solder joint wouldn’t manifest itself only after a warm-up period, and would probably not be corrected by a power off and on.

The main outputs 1 and 2 on my G2X have begun to give problems. But it seems mainly to occur when I haven’t powered up the synth for some period of time. Just reinserting the plugs in the jacks two or three times gets things working properly again, which leads me to believe that this problem is just bad contact between the plugs and jacks.

Have you tried just reinserting the headphone plug to see if that helps clear the problem?

*fingers crossed*

I might have fixed it, flipped the hood (always loved the ease of doing this on the nords) took the little cover off the hp jack and cleaned the contacts with alcohol, so far no repeat behavior
