Hi,

New to forum so apologies if this topic has been covered I did do a search.

My modular has always had bad interference (digital noises wirs etc check attachment) come out of the Audio Output when I have had a midi connected to the PC IN / OUT for editing.

I am using a ESI RomIO II. Has anyone experienced issues like this.

Should I just try a different midi interface?

Thanks

welcome to the electro-music.com forum bassplayer88 Exclamation

That is odd that you get interference simply by connecting the PC I/O cables to the G1. Proper MIDI cables and interfaces are supposed to be electrically isolated to prevent this sort of problem. But I have seen reports of some 5 pin DIN connector cables that are not designed for MIDI causing this sort of problem when used for MIDI. A proper MIDI cable should not have the two metal collars at each end of the cable connected together through the cable shield. Do you have a way to test your cables? If not, another suggestion would be to try different MIDI cables built by other manufacturers.
