Loopable enveloppes? |
|
|
Got myself a G2, there is one feature of the Alesis Andromeda A6 that I really like which is the loopable envelope.
In the A6 you can choose start and end point of the enveloppe loop, using this with ability to change the type of slope and obviously the time of each enveloppe stage, it gets really interesting IMHO.
What are the solutions at hand to reproduce that kind of flexibility with enveloppes in G2?
I guess this would involve several simple enveloppe modules chained in some way, the other concern is how to have start and end point parameters defined by a pair of knobs. |

I'd try it with the SeqCtr (control sequencer).
You'd drive it with a saw shaped signal. For the start and end points you could compare the saw level to some set levels ...
Hmm ... to change the start point though you would have to change the phase of the saw lfo, LFO B can do that, and then reset the LFO when the end level is reached ..
something like that probably. _________________ Jan
also .. could someone please turn down the thermostat a bit.

Electromagnetic Wave, the patch looks great and does the release nicely.
I'll try to complete it with a fixed attack similarly, but would you mind expanding on usage of the logic XNOR, because I'm a bit confused with it, it seems only one input is connected so the other should always be 0.
Also, what are the ADSR enveloppes modules for? |

Cousin !
XNOR truth table :
00=1
01=0
10=0
11=1
What I need is 00=1 for the release env. I can use a logic inverter module instead of the flip flop module to save few resources (cycles / memory).
I can replace the ADSR envelopes modules by other modules too. I use them to let the signal pass with good action (trig/release) before to go on the mixer > pitch osc input. As you can see the KB button is off. I use the gate signal from the Keyboard module or the logic gate signal from the flip flop module to retrig them. I can disconnect cable from EnvADSR2 and activate the KB button with same result.
My patch is not fully optimised for resource. But I think you got the main idea. Probably we can achieve the same result with many other different solutions. |
