Ahh yes.... the unending collabs of Deep House and live instruments continues.
4:09 of sparse and tasty electronic jams. It's a nice build with a cool synth bass line that comes in around 1:50. A little spicy sax adds layers and it gets a bit thick. But still a fun piece with some drops here and there.

This chill release is co-produced and co-written by Nick Shan and recorded at RTE Studios in San Antonio, Texas. This is the first in a series of studio collaborations.

Nick and I have known each other for a long time. I was in his band for a little while and we collaborated on a Christmas album a while back. And we've been working on events together for years. A couple weeks ago he's like - bro, lets do some studio sessions.

And here we are. He's the engineer and using Logic. He's got some great beat samples. I brought in my Novation Mini-Nova and sax. Since he does a ton of hip-hop, it was killing him to not have any bass on this and he kept wanting to fill up all the space. Once we got there though....well... we got there. I think this is tasty AF.

This three song EP is more of an electro-suite.

It's all the usual GrooveTronX stuff - deep house beats, samples, synth, guitar, sax, bleeps and bloops.

All three jams together are about 24 minutes.

This is pretty laid back for us, but still has a nice drive to it.

This is an ambient noise recording. The instrument is the Heathkit Square Wave Generator. Additional effects include delay and a Wah pedal. I love the pure tone of the Heathkit. There's nothing quite like a square wave. This was a lot of fun to make.

This particular track used some delay for extra fun. I found these short clips of Greek statues and thought the music and video paired quite well together.
