Guide to Ambiophonic DSP 5.1 and 7.1 Surround in Windows

Hello guys. This is my first post here. The reason I am posting is because I had a really tough time figuring out how to apply ambiophonics DSP for watching 5.1 and 7.1 movies through the windows operating system without external modules. It took me about a week to figure it out as there is no guide on how to do this, so now I want to help others.

This will be brief but I will update once I have the time.

Audiomulch
Virtual Audio Cable
VB Audio virtual cable (Part of Voicemeter package)

Virtual Audio Cable:
Open control panel and set virtual cable 1 NC to 1..8 (8channels)
Open Audio Repeater KS
Set wave in to Voicemeter Vaio, set channel configuration to 5.1
Set wave out to virtual cable 1
Edit sample rate in case of cracking


Audiomulch
Set Audiomulch Input found under properties to the Virtual Audio Cable cable 1 we edited above
Set Audiomulch Output to the preferred output
Paste VST plugins (Ambio, crosstalk cancellation, wider, A1 stereo control) in Audiomulch vst folder and refresh plugins
Edit the route

Open VB-Audio Virtual cable control panel for monitoring. Test with your preferred 5.1/7.1 movie player.

This is system wide so all applications with the correct surround output can benefit from the chain we created.
