I've attached three patches that when loaded into slots A, B, and C and set to a single midi channel makes up an acoustic drum kit. I tried to use physical models where I could. Patch A is a feedback based kick and a Karplus Strong based snare. Patch B is a tom that uses feedback and the build in percussion oscillator. Patch B was my attempt at a physical model of a cymbal along with hihats. The snare I think is pretty effective and I feel is complete. The tom is not convincing and another approach is needed: I had trouble finding a stable model that had bit and sounded like a real tom. From past experience, this comes down to the exciter (noise burst) being shaped to create the illusion of a beater. The cymbal uses 3 FM oscillators with recurrent feedback loops to generate metallic partials. The drum voices are mapped from C2 to Bflat3.

These are updated versions. The "B" patch is a physical model of a tom. I played around with a floor tom in the studio and decided that the beater needs to be modeled more carefully. I also worked on the ride cymbal in the "C" patch, trying to capture ride cymbal dynamics more accurately.
