2 64 note patterns. one is set up to trigger envelopes, the other is set to play notes. they are both played from the keyboard (one note for trigger, one note to clear trigger, the rest to play notes)

then four other sequencers, set up to record cc faders-and here's the cool part-they read the fader as long as you're moving it, but then if you stop moving it, it stops changing the value and just loops. also, there's a clear button that just writes over the value if you wanna "start over"

then having all those sent to a basic 3-op fm synth with envelopes on every stage, and a filter on the output. also, "glides" for the values of the cc sequencers.

oh, as a postscript:

i have a g2 engine, so i'm not quite sure about how it interfaces with the hardware.

i have the cc's sent to 25 faders-a peavey 1600x and the 9 on my axiom 49.

the only decent parts of this patch are the sequencers-the synth is a throwaway.

i wanted to find a way to do real time xox style sequencing, that didn't require using up all the faders/buttons to control the individual bits of the step sequencer.

to make it complete, i'd have to put some kind of switch to control if the keyboard is sending triggers or notes. easy enough.

and for some reason i couldn't get it to run over midi, internally. don't know why. i'll make this better in the coming days.
