Velocity scaler on G2? Subject description: How do I simulate the velocity scaler of NM1? |

Any good ideas on how to simulate the velocity part of the "Note and velocity scaler" module of NM1?
I've tried XFade between velocity and constant 64 but I'm not really pleased with that one. |

There's a lot of modules and stuff and an extremely high pitched sound which doesn't respond to velocity at all.
Sorry, I don't get it... |

So where is the cord caryying the actual velocity supposed to be connected?
If it's possible to show, how should a simple OSC+ADSR with amplitude controlled velocity be patched using this velocity sensitivity-setup? |

sorry torsig.. no time ..you have to do a little yourself...
velocity gets conectetd to the module labled Vel..
to all 3 inputs as you can see in the photo..note input is on the G2 scaler module..kbd needs to be off and vel sens is the crossfade knob..so all controls and inputs of the original nm1 module are present and function is close but not identical...
that is what the high pitch tone was for to tune the settings and create a translation table for the G2ools nm2g2 converter...
This building block ist probably as close to the original Nm1 scaler as you can get with the G2... |

You could try the patch converter on the NM Classic patch, as Sven's suggestion works the same way as the patch converter (because Sven came up with the solution for that purpose), it would show you how it is to be used.
Maybe the NM classic patch is in the classic patch archive, in that case it might have been converted to G2 already.
Look here for the entry to the patch conversion topics, probably the top two are most relevant. _________________ Jan

The default mode for the xfade is log, lin works much better (If you don't need the note scaler stuff). |
