Questions about how to do math pop up every now and then.

For division and for square roots a solution was posted by Michael Estlick on the Nord Modular list (on 2004-10-12). His original patches were for the NM Classic, I ported those to the G2.

Read the patch notes for original commments.

The green modules implement the functions, the other modules show how to use this blocks in a patch.

Great to have those modules but it's worth to mention that they are not 100% correct mathematically for every possible value.

I had a quick look at the division algorithm and since it cannot output higher than 256 (right?) it will behave strange for small denominators.

It will output 256 even when dividing with zero, which of course shouldn't even be possible.

For "normal" use I guess this is no problem but when using many math operations together (cascading calculations with accumulated errors) one has to take these limitations into consideration. The output may be miscalculated.
