I got a bunch of BA662 OTA from an old keyboard, wondering if I can treat this as any other OTA ic and use it as drop in replacement or there are special requirements for the specific IC when used as a vcf

Nice!

I guess some of the hoover people would want to pay for 'm enough to buy a couple more other OTA's Smile (but there seem to be clones now).

To answer the question, what I've seen and remember from the data sheet, they are OTA's, and will function as such in 3080 circuits. Wasn't there an extra amplifier too allowing use as a 13700?

I can not readily find a datasheet, although I'm sure I recently saw one Confused

Yeah but I'm planning on keeping them for my own use, I got a bunch of chinese 13700s, but I have higher hope for the ba662 for now. I've only seen pinouts of this and the similar ota from roland. I wanna try it out with a 3080 circuit but I'm afraid I'll brick one.

A Roland filter clone? There are lots of schematics available online for almost every Roland filter ever made. This will get you started:
