Does anyone know how I would create such a device. I want to be able to select the interval between individual steps between 1/8, 1/4 & 1/2.

Thanks,

Matt

...i assume you mean that you want 1 sequencer, and to have differant steps on differant outputs?

the easy ("expensive") way, i think, is to use a clocked delay.

the better way is to use a s/h or t/h module, and use a clock divide to set your offset.

I just created a sequencer that has the length of each step controllable. It's in slot D of the performance in the response to this thread:

http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-7757.html

I use one sequencer to set the length of the step. That controls the rate of an LFO, which is then used as a clock into the next step. A note sequencer runs in tandem to carry the actualy note info, but you could use any sequencer in it's place...

I like to use a 2nd sequencer as a groove source while the 1st one is used to trigger the groove (and select it too). I used it in Mystica_DZ.pch2 in the soundset.

This way the 2nd sequencer(s) can do some way cool stuff. the attached patch illustrates this (but makes no sound).
