with the release of v1.40 as well as myself getting back online after 2+ months, i've found myself in the mood to post some old patches that i've made along the way since i began doing drums on the G2. please let me know what you think, while they're pretty basic and need alot of work i think there's some decent ideas in there. i was originally inspired by mp3s posted of patches by Mother Misty and others. after downloading a few drum patches/performances on the forum here and finding it hard to get my head around some of them, i took whatever info i could gather from various threads and worked out a simple way that i ended up building upon. actually, if i'm able i'll post a handful of patches that show the progression as i learned /tried different things...

ehh, i guess the order is backwards. forgot about that. if by chance you're still having fun, here's some more. i apologize for the lack of controller assignments. oops, just remembered - due to the fact that the patch may be sending midi CC info to itself, it may need to be loaded into a certain slot (or you could just change the slot A-D on the midi send modules)...

Hi unfed,

I like these patches, especially groove5 and heavy verb.
Nice stuff, certainly when you layer those 2 in different slots!
(gives very nice results with the mutator aswell, sounds very ae-like Smile )

hmm... I think I'll post some variations soon Smile

thanks for sharing!

misty.

yeah, i think they're all fun to listen to for awhile and i like groove 5, heavy verb, and hip drums, especially.
any one of them would make a good foundation

hey, thanks guys. after i'd posted them here i went back and played around with the for a bit. pretty painful actually, you'd think it'd make sense to check them out *before* posting them. Smile it's been over four months since i've heard them (i know - i've been neglecting the G2...), the first couple are pretty annoying. i'd suggest muting the string osc. of course running them through the mutator made things all better, i'm enjoying them much more now. the 'groove...' and 'heavy verb' experiments eventually grew into my first Performance called 'Tezzm' which i'll post along with another in the appropriate forum.

here's the links to those:

Hi unfed,

I've played some more with your patches last weekend and came up with this performance.
I used your groove5 & heavy verb patches as a starting point with some slight changes.
(added a kick, a new mixer and alot of morph assignments)
Both patches are routed to jamos's stutter a scratch patch also with some slight changes,
(it's a dual stutter & scratch patch now, one for slot A and one for Slot B)

Play with the pitchstick in slot a & b for morph effects, press buttons in slot c for stutter effects.
In this performance it's best to select slot a or b and set focus on slot c
this way you have the pitchstick morph controls from slot a or b and the stutter controls from slot c at tesame time.

(check the mp3 for an audio example with some morph tweakings and stuttering effects live performed on the G2)

enjoy!

finally got a chance to play around with this last night. absolutely fantastic, especially Jamos' 'stutter' device. 'sequencing' stutter variations might be alot of fun as well. thanks so much, Misty and Jamos!
