thanks for the kind words
i'm getting there...
i'm conscious of the fact that most of my live compositions revolve around monophonic lines and to be honest it grates a little. i think it's the result of a lack of DSP in my expansionless G2 combined with my position on the learning curve of modular synthesis.
given cubase and the G2 and my compositions are more interestingly textured, but it's fun working within my constraints anyway.
this particular track i wanted the timbres to crescendo within set phrases, or evolve timbre wise within set phrases so that the performer could concentrate on building a structure or tweaking the delay effects on the lead line. |

Of course I haven't heard the stuff you haven't posted here, but this style isn't grating yet. Please continue!

I think that's what makes this track cool, the fact that you crescendo into new sections and it doesn't seem to amble along at a constant pace. The delay effects in particular are really cool. Do you listen to any Bobby Peru, Tiefschwarz or Trentemoller? I think they'd be right up your alley Bobby Peru in particular has a track called Erotic Discourse that thoroughly explores delay effects in a lead context which is really cool... |

Trentemoller rings a bell, don't think i have any though. don't think i've heard of Bobby Peru. i'll check those last two out. |

(after hearing this performance for about an hour I've decided to buy
myself a ticket for the "10 days off..." festival for an 8 hour dj-set by Tiefschwarz & Hell )
Thanks stanley |
