I hope Howard do not cancel this link because this nutty song is worth listening to you seem very much into chopping up samples.
I know you don't use laptops but may I ask you what music applications you use _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

Yeah, this one's just great! Reminds me a bit of Squarepusher's stuff. This overtone noises sound a bit too harsh to me, but I like the more melodic passages, and the outro tops it all! Can't stop listening to the last minute of this tune _________________ Download my music here! |

Yeah, we spend a great deal of time smashing and mangling and reducing our sounds into tiny little chips. We do it all by hand, the hard way, because frankly, we don't really know any other way LOL
I have a background in jazz piano so most songs start out as some pretty little chord progression recorded into Nuendo. From there, the madness begins. We've gotten to the point of using Waldorf Attack almost exclusively for drums, but there is still a good deal of percussion that is programmed via MPC and then dumped into Nuendo for further manipulation. As for VSTi's, the ones we use most commonly are Edirol Orchestral, Pro52, FM7 and Attack. Nothing fancy. We just have gotten so comfortable with Nuendo that we don't really see any need to change anything. The fact that it's a blank template without much in the way of being able to rely on "tricks" keeps us in a constant state of trying new methods to solving problems and makes us work harder. We love it! |

This is an electro-hit in my book.
This piece has great formal structure. It's not just a track - it's a composition. Excellent... _________________ --Howard

Thanks mosc. We tried to rely on traditional pop conventions to some degree...then we just perverted it |

Wow! Another fab tune! Can't fault it in any way so I'll just say it's great! Loads of imagination!
Mix sounds fine to me. Spikey but nice. _________________ This message was brought to you from Beyond The Grave. |

Thanks Dovdimus! We are gonna go back in and adjust some levels during the middle but overall we're happy with how it has turned out. We appreciate the props! |

This was just played on the constantly running radio playlist - love it! The contrast between the glitchy mayhem and the moving string and talkie sections works well. _________________ Antimon's Window
