Here I'll put some lightweight stuff that's a bit synthy but also fairly traditional pop - or at least attempts at doing pop.

Cost - general synth arrangement around on some guitar stuff and singing. Made the foundations of this one while singing in the shower.

Wow thanks John! Very Happy

As usual I am being compared to artists I don't know about. Gonna have to check the Walker Brothers out now. Smile

Here's a tune that I made while taking a walk around town a couple of years ago. Tried making an arrangement and getting it down on harddrive this summer, which I wasn't satisfied with. This is my second attempt then. Still not perfect, but with juggling all of these tracks I think this is as good it gets for now. I'm still happy with the actual song, which I hope shines through well enough.

All is Lost

Some melancholy made while hungover, and with a little bit of drama in my life. All made today!

A melancholic thing with guitar, singing and stuff. The guitar is a cheap (I think) Bjärton that I've tuned down four half-tones. It's kind of small, and I like that kind of tone. An unfortunate side effect seems to be that the compromise you always have on a guitar regarding tuning is accentuated - I made two tracks with the guitar with one string slightly detuned between them. I couldn't get the arpeggios working - if one arpeggio sounded nice then another arpeggio played in another position on the same strings sounded off. Oh well...

A compact stompy thing with singing. Started out as just a guitar thing, but grew a bit more synthy as I worked with it.

Made the guitar part first, then the singing part and then added stuff until it was full.

Racers. Some kind of folk rock hybrid that trips out a bit. Various kinds of processed guitar: multiac nylon into a vg99, guitar into a g2 patch containing an oscillator that is synced by the guitar.

Hey thanks Dave! Very Happy

I had a great time studying in Sundsvall 1990 - 1992, roughly 1000 kilometers from where I am now, with dark wintry winters and lovely people. This tune takes its inspiration from there.
