Photon, that's a wonderful synth! Is it brass paneled!? That's almost steampunk, love it _________________ As a mad scientist I am ruled by the dictum of science: "I could be wrong about this but lets find out"

Here's what just got finished. Just a quickie project that wasn't even in my backlog, but a friend sent me the pcb after I fixed his version of this, and then... well here it is.
Another one with the beautiful and oh-so-affordable roof flashing from Home Depot. And the panel is Front Panel Express with their new powder coat finish - I've been meaning to try this on a cheapo panel, and here it is. It looks great, seems really durable, and is REALLY black. I'm not sure it's worth the extra 15.50 they tacked onto the price that the ordering program didn't show.

MFOS Noise Cornucopia:
- Old PCB but I put a 1M trimmer in place of R8 to be able to adjust the noise
- Bridechamber front panel with slow/fast switch, but I put an on-on-on switch in there and connected the /2 (fast), /16 (center) and /128 (slow) positions
This will be my only analog noise module in 5U and I'm quite satisfied. Good extension to my Curetronic DigiNoise (which can be clocked by the Noise Cornucopia for extreme madness). |

So back on page 4 of this thread I showed off the Korgasmatron II I had just finished. Just before I finished it, David Dixon announced that he had further perfected his circuit into the korgasmatron III, and now I've built one of those:

Almost done... 4 years of pain, embarrassment (when I've not had a clue what I was doing!) and joy. All finished except for the last 3 modules. Still awaiting PCB's from Futurlec, which I did as a test, otherwise I would have made them myself - 8 weeks and still waiting
Many thanks to all who helped when I was stuck and desperately needed help : )

heres some pedals and an amp ive built this year.
left to right:
1st row: green ringer clone, fuzz face clone, germanium booster
2nd row: bazz fuss, octave up of my own design, fuzz pedal of my own design.
3rd row: AMP! lm386 amp housed in an old 60s hifi speaker enclosure i found on the side of the road.
i play bass, so these are really quite fun. especially the octave ups, it gets real clangy |

the aluminum boxes in the front row are some old 60s era RF (i think) filter boxes i have, i have a couple dozen of them, they need a lot of work to get them to that state though, they need to be sanded to remove a coat of paint and there are some metal protrusions that need to be cut off and sanded down aswell. they are nice small, sturdy boxes though, i like them. |

Thanks PHOBoS
It was a weird looking Phillips Magnavox surround speaker. I did skin it, originally it had dusty cloth covering it. Sadly, even though it would have come in a pair, the thrift where I bought it couldn't find the mate. I've looked online as well and while I see reference to it, I haven't found any other pictures much less sources for more. |

A difficult birth but with great help from this forum I was able to get it to work:
Ken Stone CGS58 Dual Utility LFO
Mods:
The big knob indicates a 10-turn 20K pot on LFO2 and it has a 2K trimmer instead of the 4K7 resistor and a 330N cap.
LFO1 has a 1K resistor and a 3.3 uF cap.
Slow mo fun. |
