I'm in Pittsburgh, USA. Curious to know where is a good place to get a case for transporting my Andy. I'm not looking for a flight case necessarily, as I won't be flying with my Andy. I just want something to protect it when taking it across town. I haven't been playing it much lately, but I'm thinking if I incorporated it into my live performances, I might play it more often.

But I don't have a case of any sort for it, and I REALLY don't want to damage it in the car!

Gator GK-61 looks like it should fit, and Guitar Center has them. Anyone using these, and how do they like them?

Alternately, there seem to be a bunch of "Semi-custom" case makers that make the plywood/aluminum hard cases for about the same price.

Thanks for your input,

Russ

Hey, just a follow-up: I ended up buying a Gator GK-61 thru B&H Photo. It fits the Andromeda perfectly.

While I certainly wouldn't use the case to travel on an airplane, I think it's going to work out well for traveling in the car.

The case has wheels and a pull-out handle, which is nice. There's no getting around the fact that the Andromeda is a monster of a synth (size-wise, as well as sonic power!), so having the wheels is pretty much a must.

Last month, we had some folks over for a jam session, and I was able to put the A6 in the case and carry it safely down our staircase (it is pretty narrow and turns twice!) so we could set up in the living room. Hoping to get invited to play out in the future -- now I can take my favorite synth!

I transport mine in a Gator GKPE-61-TSA. $289 at B & H a few years back. Lockable with poly wheels and comes with a number of foam inserts that velcro nicely into place. The A6 fits like a glove, no movement inside the case. I've always felt comfortable transporting it inside this case.
