Now, this will be a quite "loud" weekend. It's Schallwelle event time and lots of nice people to meet and greet and celebrate the best of EM. I'm really looking forward to the nice concerts, as well. But afterwards, I will definitely enjoy some silence. And what better to support this than by having really cool ambient music around. So has tonight's episode, featuring brand new albums and upcoming releases from masters of quiet music. Take some time out and be delighted by tracks by Altus, Deaf Center, Janne Hanhisuanto, litmus0001, Rafael Anton Irisarri, The Next Commmuter, We are Creosote, and Winterberg.

Only one week after the great Schallwelle event, here comes a new episode of syndae Podcast. It was really cool in Bochum, and many friends and artists met up in the Planetarium to celebrate artsits and albums of 2011. But back to 2012. We're only one week ahead of the next EM festival: Satzvey Castle by SynGate. Berlin School style music at it's best. And of course I'll give a little teaser in form of tracks, which are by one half of Rainbow Serpent, also known as Der Laborant, and by ebia. But there is more fresh music on this show in form of tracks by MigloJE, Robert Schroeder, Sinestesia, and Tornfly.

Let the games begin at: http://www.syndae.de/episodes/461-episode-168

Yours, Stefan

Very often, music says more than words. Tonight, this is the case for syndae, as there will be no moderation. A cold took my voice, and so you will get a continuous mix of tracks of more than 30 minutes. It's a mix of cool new releases as well as some new albums of earlier this year. We start off with a brand new disc by Andreas Baaden named "Slow Down", which will bring us "Above the Coulds of Jupiter". We claim that place "My New Somewhere", which is the following track by Patrick Geren from his brand new album "Slightly Night". Then we let Jakub Fijak bring us back "From the Depths", one of the short but intense tracks of his release "Around the Horizon". And if you experience that view to appear in "Indigo", you are with Sebastien Marchal's "Synesthesia". With a "Lichtspruch" by Stefan Erbe we enter "The Sounds of my Comfort'sone", just to feel the "Shepherd's Wind" from "Grimnir", brought to us by Olga Scotland and Kean Kaerede. Blown away, we make "Contact ith Base" in a "Symetric Dream" by Global Express OSC. And finally find "Das Versteck" in Level Pi's Dunkelstunde. I wish you a great weekend and a pleasant coming week. Take care and enjoy the show.

A universal journey at: http://www.syndae.de/episodes/466-episode-169

Now that moving servers is done, back to fun! Of course, with a fresh edition of syndae, tonight with several brand new releases. It's happy easter time, so here come some really nice tracks, more on the happy and dancy side of the EM. Well, at least I enjoyed putting the show together, so I hope you will join me having joy when listening to the wonderful sounds of Kikai, René Splinter, Tornfly, Uwe Reckzeh, and Weldroid.

Looking at my calendar, it's looking really good on the matter of electronic music and concerts. Lots of nice events are blooming in spring, as are the shortly coming E-Day and a very special double concert in May, both in the Netherlands. So more than half of tonight's edition features music of those events' artists, and the remaining time we have nice recent releases from a well known formation and a new one, at least for airing on syndae. On this episode you will get tracks by Fratoroler, MorPheuSz, Picture Palace music, Remy, and Ron Boots.

New releases are piling up at the moment, and I am very pleased to have quite a bunch of new ambient albums on my playlist tonight. Sometimes it's the quietness making me happy, and tonight we have more than 30 minutes of it. And you get it in a continuous mix as well, which contains marvelous tracks by Alio Die, Apollonious and 33 Tetragammon, Mark Mahony and M. Peck, Seetyca and Etheocles Stevens, Steve Roach, and Yara.

Having traditional electronic music on the show not necessarily means to have old sounds. Actually, what you will here from tonight's artists is obviously inspired by traditional styles but brought into the present times. Enjoy a show having French and Berlin sequencing and soundscapes all along, with tracks by Faber, Harald Nies, Jakub Fijak, Kebu, Mythos, and Soundwalker.

Dancable, but no need to rush, that is the motto of tonight's episode. I enjoyed listening to the EPs and albums from this show, so I am happy to be able to share some of the tracks with you. All of the albums are downloadable for free, so you should definitely check them out. Simply follow the links provided in the playlist below. Artists featured tonight are Atra Aeterna, Axiom 23, EKT, Existance, Menion, Moskra, and Tornfly.

New and noteworthy sound experiences on tonight's edition, where you will meet quite a number of well known artists, when you stayed with the show for a while. Really enjoyable music and new releases in about 30 minutes. Join a fantastic electronic ride with tracks by Auto-Pilot, Bluejooz, Craig Padilla, Gert Emmens, Remy, and Rieg.

Simply sit down, lean back and enjoy the ride on sequences and soundscapes. And while the sun just set over Dortmund, you will be presented the joyful tracks by Die Stille, Lamp, Michael Brückner, Stefan Erbe, TM Solver, and Uwe Cremer & Thomas Rydell.

Do I repeat myself too often? Now, I cannot stop informing you about the wonderful Raumzeit festival on June 9th at the moment. But I promise, it's the last time for this year, as the festival is in just one week. And on tonight's show, the opener is the fourth EM artist who joined the festival. But, of course, there is more music to be heard, and they are magnificent releases not to be missed out. On wireless cast you'll get tracks by Kikai, Plasmat, Robert Schroeder, Stephen Palmer, and VoLt.

Tonight we're going into deep, ambient worlds once again. It's about time, don't you think? There are quite some nice coming and recent releases to please one's ears making you dive into a deep ocean of sound tapestries and spaces. And, for the first time on syndae, I will introduce you to a kickstarter prject, which is driven by Ryan Lucht, this first track of this show. More great ambient and space music you will get from Akasha Project, Gregg Plummer, Hanetration, Shane Morris & Mystified, Steve Roach and The Grey Encounter.

Back for more episodes after a longish vacation, thanks for visiting syndae again. And we start with a very nice show, if I might say, having several new releases on the playlist, especially focussing on two new and free samplers providing extraordinary tracks. I am still a bit in vacation mode, so the music fits my state of mind being a bit chilly yet driving. Join me for the marvellous sounds of Alpha Wave Movement, Erez Yaary, Glenn Main, Infinityloop, moonbooter, Weldroid, and Xenoton.

This is the first episode where I really shut up, a gapless mix of electronica to your listening pleasure. As long as the music licenses allow, this seems a good option to me, so you can enjoy the tracks with no further interrupt. Feedback of course very welcome, either by mail or via comments on this post. On tonight's show, you will find chilling and dancable stuff, some more dubby, some more trance-like, but each of them very likeable to my ears. See below for the timed playlist, which contains cool tracks by Beckenhower, First Earth, Infinityloop, Sternenspringer, The BYC, Totte, and Wellenfeld.

In four weeks the unique Swimmingpool-Festival takes place in Berlin. And, yes, the concerts of that festival are played in a real pool. The host and main act of both days are Picture Palace music with their leader Thorsten Quaeschning. Quite a number of EM artists to be heard that day like Bernd Kistenmacher,MorPheuSz, Nattefrost, Stefan Erbe, and Battery Dead. I'll be there, and if you can, you should go, too. And as a little teaser, tonight's show starts with PPm and a track from their latest album. But there is more. Like Kikai with a track from his live concert at Raumzeit Festival 2012 from last month. Followed by Shivakult with a wonderful track from the Mind Plug 2nd Anniversary sampler. Also, introducing the new album by Nisus named Electronic Medication with a track excerpt. New, as well, Subtle Shift by Within Reason, the alter ego project by Gregory Kyryluk (Alpha Wave Movement). And tonight's closer will be The X-Structure with their current album Wild Places.

Finally, a tiny bit of summer has arrived at my living place. Mild evenings with a beautiful, blue sky, only a few coulds in sight. And, of course, some very body relaxing soundwaves washing round myself, filling my brain with peace and easyness. Another one-flow show presenting chill and ambient music. We start our journey with S7ven's Native Space, which slowly draws us into silence. Followed by a sonic impression of the Highlands by Phillip Wilkerson. Afterwards, another greart track from the fine tonAtom sampler decAde, Gravity by Drifting in Silence. I mentioned the swimmingpool festival in Berlin before, MorPheuSz is one of the acts playing live in the bathhouse and Garden Gnomes and Goblins Part 9 sounds like made for laying at the pool. From the pool to the stars we go with Onewayness and then back in time to the Archaikum (Archean) with Walter Roos. Phobos will close this episode, where we have Part 1 of his Live on Earth album.

In May this year, Michael Wilkes a.k.a. Yog-Sothoth won the newcomer prize at the Schallwelle electronic music awards. Part of the prize was the production of a CD, and the corresponding album *Prehistoric Dawn* is just out. I happily received the album and tonight's episode will feature two tracks of it right at the begining.
Up to a few weeks ago, the group Sankt Otten from Osnabrück was completely unknown to me. They are well established, though, and are one of the acts playing at the 5th Electronic Circus festival on September 22nd this year. Also two tracks to be heard, from their last year's album *Gottes Synthesizer* and their current CD *Sequenzer Liebe*.
Recently, I had a track of Wellenfeld from the MellowJet sampler on the show, now their new album *Endless Summer* is out, providing the real summer feeling (what the weather is still lacking to do).
And I have the final call for the Swimmingpool festival this week. Only 14 days to go, on August 17th the festival will take place in Berlin. I feature two of the event's acts tonight with Stefan Erbe's *Sounds of my Comfort'sone* and BatteryDead's *Sands of Deception*. Cool location, great line-up, two days worth going to Berlin.
Australis closes this edition with a fine track from their current, and free to download sampler *Interlude*.

This seems one of the most low temperature summer of the last years, so let us at least get some warm music tracks by way of consolation. In the first two tracks we let Ivan Filin a.k.a. Simiram take us to The Lost, The Last. Then we take a short visit to Ishtar's Ombre before we head for Bing Satellites and their album Twilight Sessions Volume 10. Speaking of volume, Steve Roach and Dirk Serries, who found back together after 10 years, their Low Volume Music will quiet us down a bit, so we can enjoy a siesta. And from siesta to fiesta, we celebrate with Steve Barnes as Divine Matrix and his Atmospheric Variations. Several light years later, Miranda Shvangiradze wants to Talk to Me, and you will join in for some moments of luck. Right before we start for the finale with Steve Orchard's Undersail.

Only one month to go before the Electronic Circus opens their curtains again for the show that never ends. One of the magnificent acts entering the stage in Gütersloh will be VoLt, who are Steve Smith and Michael Shipway. On tonights show, Michael is with me giving some insight in his musical life and work and of course we will have plenty music of him, VoLt and Lamp, his youngest collaboration with Garth Jones.

Events, events, events. The next month is stuffed with events in electronic music, three of which I have some appetizers for on tonight's episode. Last week we had the Michael Shipway special in sight of his appearance with Steve Smith at the Electronic Circus. Another collaboration will be playing in Gütersloh for the first time: Ian Boddy and Erik Wøllo. Unfortunately, I have no material of their set (yet), but just right these days, Erik released a brand new solo album which you will get a double right at the beginning of tonight's show. You shouldn't miss the Circus this year, plenty of great acts and there are still quite a bunch of tickets left. So do not hesitate and plan your trip to Gütersloh on September 22nd.
Earlier in September, on Friday 14th, you can experience TMA with Martinson and others at the Planetarium of Recklinghausen. To the time of this edition of syndae, I think, some tickets are still available. And you can actually do a double feature, as there is another very interesting show at the Planetarium of Bochum on Saturday 15th with moonbooter and Remy. One track of each, of course, on tonight's show, a very new one by moonbooter and an excerpt by Remy from recordings done for that event.
Also starting in September, Bernhard Wöstheinrich does a tour in the USA again. From September 22nd to 30th you can meet or listen to him live on stage. And he will be on tour together with guitarist Tim Motzer.
In between all these event-releated music, you get to hear from a fresh album by LooneyJetman, who is new to syndae. The music on this release simply made me happy, so I have a triple for you of that album.
Enjoy the show, have a great time, take care, and good night.

Last week, I had lots of coming event teasers. Now, tonight it's time to get some recent releases on air. And we are into dub, groove, club like music, so best to take place for a rather relaxing and chilling session, close to one hour of fine electronica tracks. For once, I have a CC double sampler from section27 netlabel. It's named Section v3.0, and four of the many tracks are on this edition presenting to you Deltason & Konuvvi, Illocanblo, Swin Deorin, and YoMyEx. Also recently released, Regnlxprss by Passive Defence. Another CC album from the great Kreislauf netlabel. More free stuff comes from the Rec72 label, namely Always now never after by Orbique, a really cool album there.
Two more artists on the playlist, both with commercial releases. First, I have The Cosmic Garden's current album Sun Secrets. And then there is Giuliano Rodrigues, where I have two tracks, one each of the albums Apogue and Red Sky, respectively.

Actually, a date much more important than the world's destruction as the Maya are alleged to have said: the Electronic Circus is close. One week to go, on September 22nd! Come and meet in Gütersloh, where you will experience fantastic live concerts, like from the band first on tonight's show: Sankt Otten with Sequencer Liebe.
Many artists have announced their visit to the Circus, like Robert Schroeder, Michael Mertens (Propaganda), and Bodo Staiger (Rheingold). Further, it is very likely that Winfrid Trenkler will be there and also Rainer Sauer, both anchormen of famous radio shows on electronic music. Another well reknown guest will be Bernd Kistenmacher, who also has some live appearances later on in October, being the main act at E-Live. We have an excerpt from his re-released Head Visions on tonight's show.
Talking about E-Live, which is over a month ahead on October 27st, Fanger & Schönwälder will have a special appearance at the Grand Café. And, of course, a nice track on this edition from Stromschlag.
I do not know about any live events of the following artist, but he just put out a marvellous album. It's UK's very own Data Rebel who set Dreams for an Abstract Mind to music. Another fresh addition to syndae is Bertrand Loreau from France, where we have two tracks of his current album Journey through the past. Fine french electronic music not being jarreish.
More fresh sounds come from Fascinating Earthbound Objects, a USA based artist, and his latest compositional work And so the game has gone. And finally, we have Andreas Baaden with his just released album Polarlicht.
Hope, you will enjoy tonight's tracks as much as I did. Take care.

One day early, as I'll be on the road tomorrow evening, we'll be going into darker material tonight, drifting somewhere in between ambient and industrial electronica. So it is time to let your mind take a grip on softer and harsher waves, floating or backed by creaking sounds and drifting beats.
We start out smoothly with Light and Shadow by Janne Hanhisuanto. Calmly followed by Incentive's RERA pushing us a bit towards the end, which leads right into some more technical world by Rasul Mono from his Silhouettes. Afterwards, The Nikki Grace Experience puts some experimental thrill to it. We'll be cought by the Jarguna and his dark and thriving movements from Waiting for a Call from the Unknown. Just to be challenged by some driving technology from Hanetration's Torn Heat. And it is Ross Baker with his Photografic Reflection soothing us with dark and peaceful soundwaves, seamlessly floating into the Genuine Machina by Ivan Black, which in the end turns out to push us forward. Only, to even out with Bengalfuel's Neely.
Have a great time and take care.

After the show is before the show, at least there are more nice shows coming up in October. And, as you know, I love teasing you. But before that, I would like to introduce you to a quartett, one fourth I got to know at the Electronic Circus last weekend. They are Erren, Fleißig, Schöttler and Steffen who took a week off in Ouddorp (NL) to simple record some music. And it got really well. Fine and modern Berlin School on Ouddorp Takes.
For the next event, well, there are a handful of tickets left. So, if you're quick, you get to hear very nice electronic music at the Radio Happy Event on October 6th. For example, by Rainbow Serpent and BatteryDead, where I have tracks from 8th Nerv and Sands of Deception, respectively.
The next major EM event, of course, is E-Live on October 27th in Oirschot. Two of their live acts on tonight's show: Gert Emmens and Ruud Heij, with a track from their album Blind Watchers of a Vanishing Night, and Bernd Kistenmacher, with one song from his Head-Visions. And, btw., Bernd will also be live on stage at November 24th, together with Din-A-Testbild.
Make sure you visit at least on of the coming events, as there is more to electronic music than what you get from your headphones.
Enjoy your weekend!
