10.5 Leopard from a "David Lynch" perspective!

After being rather tickled by Elektro80's suggestion of "David Lynch" type functions within Apple's new OS, please feel free to post your discoveries (whatever they may be) here Very Happy

Mine for one, is opening a folder in the dock then reclicking the icon while pressing shift causes the folder to gently (and rather slowly) shrink back into a single folder again. Why anyone would want this is anyone's guess I suppose? To demonstrate the power of OS X's OpenGL Quartz graphics? Dunno. It's definitely a "Lynch-like" function afaic Laughing

The removal of the bluetooth phone integration inside Adressbook is clearly a David Lynch script discontinuity stunt. Shocked

Stein, I've noticed a bug in the finder help- ie the lack of it. On both my MBP and Rosie's iMac, if we click for help in the menu bar in the finder, it quits. I've also noticed this in system prefs. Can you try this on your Mac?

That works great here. No probs at all. You probably have something installed that either looks for events in the top menu and then kills the Finder app when you go to Help.. or you have a help module installed that is buggy. Just guessing here.. but this seems likely..

Apparently it's a classic OS X bug- according to the Apple website, and it's an easy fix too. Drag the help prefs to the wastebasket and restart. Of course it worked- but only just. The help menu came on and then it looked like everything froze, then after about 2 mins, it sprung back into life again!

Another bug I've noticed is that when you drag a folder to the dock (something else that oddly didn't work at first), it always shows the top application rather than the folder icon- very odd. is there a work around on this too- apart from putting in a dummy folder instead?

Apart from that, Leopard is mindblowing! Cool

, it's like an application in its own right!!
