i´ve made a stripboard layout for a ISD1820 based modular sampler i found on the bastl instruments website.
built mine today works fine easy project and a lot of fun.
you can get the isd1820 chip very cheap on amazon.
i added voltage regulator input buffer and out booster.

1st pot is input attenuverter
2nd is pitch cv attenuverter
3rd output booster
for the main pitch i used a 100k fader on the right

feed through and loop are spdt´s

rec trig and gate are momentary buttons.

nice!
didnt know about this chip.

Would be interesting to know what are the lower REC/PLAY timing limits.
I have something like an odd delay in mind, one is recording - one is playing, with filter-feedbackloop?

cu,

cu,

the record time goes up to 20 seconds depending on the resistor or in this case the position of the pitch cv pot during the record. . the sample rate is also affected by this. you get best results in the middle range .

Interesting -- I've built a Madbean Loophole, which is a stompbox looper that uses the ISD1020AP chip in similar fashion. The ISD1020AP is a bit bigger though -- 28 pin!

How is the audio quality?

the quality is very noisy. and theres a audible click when you trigger it, but not too bad at all.
