Long downloads on dail-up, but worth it. I just clicked & went to feed the horses. I didn't even try for Casting the Broken, however, as it was a wav file; figured I'd still be waiting by this time next week.

I enjoyed Ashuddh Jati - even with the vocal sample which usually doesn't work for me. Very calming & meditative. Liked the crossover of undulating envelopes of sound. Reminded me of this image;

which is a concrete sculpture by Lucien den Arend renamed sinwa.

Path 1 was a different matter. I liked the eventual evolution of the piece, but the opening sonic pattern which later re-emerges in the piece was fairly irritating for me. Perhaps this is intended and has a deeper significance in terms of the progression I'm assuming exists in the tracks ( Paths 1 - 8 ), but I had a difficult time appreciating it on it's own. I often embrace rather strident sonics with gusto, so maybe this is just a unique reaction.

hi. i really liked this music, 'ashuddh jati' in particular. honestly, it's not my cup of tea really - i tend to prefer harsher sounds, but overall what appealled to me was the quality of production [it does sound good on my system] and the kind of feel this music evokes. very good 'mood' music.

noone talked about casting the broken yet, and i have broadband, so i'll take a stab.

love that verby/tonal undulating bass-thing. i'm chipping away at a version of that sound now. ok. my one gripe is that it's 8.1 M and only about 30 seconds long?!?!? burn an MP3, my boy. i liked the tiny piece i heard, though.

path 1: nice wet sound. dark wet sound. i like when the first low BOOM comes in. it's a nice feel. nice bit reduced part, beautiful chord that develops. this must have been fun to make, getting to dig through that nice, brain cleansing sound. kind of reminds me of a darker Matmos after the hand drums come in. some of the loops seem a bit uneven, however, and the feel starts to fall apart. seamless until there, and then just is kind of aggravating because i perceive the sloppy gaps between track and drum. the wet sounds at the end are great, too. great sound, needs a tighten. That's my uneducated opinion.

ashuddh jati: crazy song names. it's like you've been reading ezra pound's "cantos" or something. good use of pink sounding noise. your pieces have a wonderful sonic blend between the real and the digital, and it's actually kind of hard for me to tell what is what. i can, however, hear an unfaded clip on one of the percussion lines. dammit you're too good to be this sloppy! assholes like me will get yanked right out of the feel of the song when we hear a pop from a sample. now i'm hearing them all over the place, actually.

other than these gripes, my friend, your art is truly beautiful. i especially like the dark roars that permeate the track. they sooth my troubled brain, and make me want to listen to the rest of the track.

Just got a chance to listen to your tracks. Very nice. They have a serious tone - thoughtful and meditative. I like them.

No sorry but this is not working for me.

1st Path for instance, starts with an ennoining sound of an alien probe. Later suddenly the Hare Krishna comes by and than it ends with water coming out of noware.
In ashuddh jati the loops are broken off time.

For me it sounds more like some basic ideas that still have to be worked out. Surely not meditative to me.
