help! trouble with reason/logic Express ReWire

hi, im new to this forum (and forums in general) just looking for a bit of advice about running Logic Express (7.2) and Reason (3.0) at the same time.
My Logic was downloaded from audionews.ru and seems to work fine, my reason is a fully purchased legit copy. (its Reason adapted express + reason 3.0 upgrade pack)
they both seem to run on there own with no real glitches, i'm using a MacBook Pro. however if i open Logic 1st in order to ReWire them (i was told this should work) i get a msg saying
"cannot open reason engine, please reinstall to make sure the engine is properly installed"
i have tried but same problem occurs, has anyone seen this or have any advice on what's happening here?

Hi Waz!

My experience with Logic Express is that it's basically crap. As an original Logic Pro owner who just missed the upgrade to 7 (which really pissed me off, as it would mean then shelling out another £200 for that upgrade), I temporally resided with a 'copy' of Logic Express 7.2 too (yes Apple I've failed you - or should that be the other way round?? ). Anyway, I've found Logic Express so unstable that I decided to stop using it altogether (which right now is probably a good thing), but however, Logic 8 has just come in and it looks like a winner! Especially at that price (£129 upgrade too- woo-hoo!!).

So I reckon, either go for Reason- with all the new bells and whistles, or scrap that and get Logic 8 instead

hmm I don't know. I would get the dreaded "can't sync core audio" error with both dodgy and legit versions. I've never used rewire so I can't comment there. Logic 8 is a bargain. There's really no excuse for not buying a copy

(although Aperture has really impressed me too- that's a great bit of software )
