The elephant painting? did you ever notice how people function, they don't often surpass that level I think .. ?

Yeah, I was referring to the elephant painting.

I think you're right, there is a level of feeling the animal puts into the work that many people are incapable of communicating.

-I do some oil on canvas myself so I can appreciate the work. Smile

Shocked Laughing

And you have personal experience of being an elephant too?? Laughing

Next the elephant will be wearing a beret, sipping Pernod and reciting Duchamp in a DADA style Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Well they're acting in movies now so I think they've evolved to the top of the animal kingdom. Very Happy Very Happy

That's ridiculous. Elephants only drink the real thing, Absinthe, and in public will only recite Andre Breton.

Me, I sip cocoa and play the guitar in a DADGAD style. Cool

I would LOVE to see an elephant's paintings after drinking absinthe. Many, many years ago in land far east away, I had a fellow buy me a couple of shots of absinthe...MAN what wild ride that was. Walls breathing, colors tasting, sounds became colors,...Fell off the bar stool and swore i melted into wood floor of the place. I called it a "worm's eye view" of the world. Yeah I'd love to see what an elephant would paint on that stuff!

Usually if you just sit a while drinking it, an elephant will show up to join you. Wink

Actually the effect you describe would lead me to suspect that there was more than Artemisia absinthium in that drink.

As I recall, it was a rather illegal substance from the black market, containing a bit of a derivative of a certain flower...quite popular in the 1800's I believe. When it was poured in the glass it appeared to swim or swirl on its own. Tasted a bit of licorice, but not quite the same. Took 3 shots to put me IN the floor. I lost track of the sense of time, and perception of physical reality was massively altered.

The fellow who bought it for me hadn't warned me. The bartender tried to warn me off number three, but it was too late. Worst part was when the fellow began to turn red in hives...looked like a syrawberry then...found out he was having a reaction to the booze he drank...something about a drug called "Antabuse", but that's another story.
