I've been doing a lot of searching and found good examples of standalone step seq's which output MIDI. And I see many of you use MAX/MSP to send CV/gate from an Arduino.

I want to build a standalone 8 step with pitch knobs and gate switches to control a Coron Drum module clone and box the two together to make a drum machine. Preferably with a MIDI in for MIDI clock sync!

A lot to ask probably

Anyone got any advice

cheers

I've been thinking about the same thing. Minus the knobs.

This dude used a pair of mega8s to build a drum seq. with trigger out:

That route seems cumbersome to me, though. If you wanted to do something along those lines & sync to MIDI using mididuino would be a easier route.

Me, I'd rather just throw a bunch of toggle switches at the thing and treat it like an analog gate sequencer. Still might be worth using mididuino just to get out of dealing with the MIDI sync stuff.
