Does anyone know where I can find a replacement potentiometer for a Nord Rack 2? I am very confident I can install it myself but for the life of me , I can't find the part.

welcome Caveman672

It's a [10kA Lin] 3mm shaft and you have to file the tip to get the knob on. This has to be done at the right place (or angle), otherwise the knob will indicate wrongly. Solder and remove the broken one and study how long the shaft has to be and file the flat side exactly as the old one.

I opened the Nord to take a look and the potentiometer reads on the back: B10K 9939. No brand name .

Wout, it sounds like you have done this before. I think I found the 10k pot at Mouser. Will report when the part comes in an repair is done . Thanks for the help.

Not exactly...
I was there when Jan (Blue Hell) and Rob (Hordijk) performed these tricks. We build some joy sticks into the Nord Modular, which is a relartive to the Lead...

Anyway, be carefull!

Seems like it is impossible to find the 10k linear 3mm potentiometer here in the US. Mouser does not have it , neither does Digikey. Two days worth of Google searches and no luck. Anyone know where I can find it? I wrote to Clavia's distributor here in the US and got no response.

Hi guys !

A month ago, I bought a nl2, and I'm horrified to understand that 13 of the potentiometers are dead, they continuously transmit
wrong midi data Sad

10k linear 3 mm is the correct potentiometer for NL2 too ?

& I read on gearslutz that the right size was 4mm for a nord rack : Shocked
http://www.gearslutz.com/board/electronic-music-instruments-electronic-music-production/548636-nord-rack-2-potentiometer-replacement.html

Otherwise, for 3mm, I found this:

What do you think for Nord Lead 2 model ?

Thx & sorry for english ^^

Contact the Nord distributor in your country to obtain replacement pots.

In the USA, contact me:

P.S. -- Although early Nords used a different squared-body pot, the current version will retrofit to ANY NORD -- that 10k pot is the only one they use in ALL MODELS.
