So, Spotify won.

1. It isn´t that far off to expect that the company might have bought the winning spot by means of a contractor that does that kind of work. That is how things usually work a lot of the time.

2. On the other hand, hopefully if this is the result of a true user response then it is actually a good thing. It suggests there are way more music listeners out there than up and coming electronic musicians. If this is true there is actually an audience out there listening to music.

3. If 2 is true, then a lot of music consumers are contributing to a shift to an ecosystem that seemingly is of questionable value to the content producers in general.

I always thought the ui design for the sequencer was pretty poor.

I like the sequencer UI, but when I record in Nanostudio, I tend to record in real-time mode rather than step mode. Very easy to use.

Actually, my biggest problem with Nanostudio was the haphazard saving of my projects. For some reason after saving a project, when I reopen it, my latest track recordings/overdubs were gone - this happened maybe a 3rd of the time.

I think that's been fixed by now, since it's been almost a year since I recorded songs into Nanostudio. I should test that soon.

"Track recordings"? Is that audio? Are you sure you mean the right app?

Nanostudio can't do audio track recordings

The sequencer needs some getting use to, but once mastered, it's pretty quick to use.

Actually the UI design for the piano roll makes me think that NanoStudio is the only useful music app on the iThing! Is the piano roll what you mean by sequencer?

Let's also remind ourselves that one of the results that came from this price of a CD app was Stefan's brilliant commuter series. Just listening to these, NS can't be really that 'shite' can it?
