Nomad will not make sound ... it is used to control a Nord modular synth, and that one is the sound maker ... or maybe you meant something else? _________________ Jan

| So i cannot use another midi keyboard to control nomad? It has to be the nord modular? Or I cannot just run nomad like I use to run the nord software, with no midi controller? Just playing around in the software. Sorrry Newb to figuring this out. |

The Nord software? do you mean the G2 demo software? _________________ Jan

yeah exactly, on an older mac, I really enjoyed just messing around with the demo, didnt need a midi controller. I was looking to download it again but this laptop is a bit 2 new (10.6. and wont run the demo software. Stumbled upon nomad and seemed like it might do the trick. Maybe I am missing some crucial thing? Like you need the nord modular software in the first place to get nomad to work? |

Ah ok, Nomad is just an editor program for the NM Classic .. so it really needs that hardware ..
It is not for the G2, it can not make sound, and it can not control the G2 demo software either ... :? _________________ Jan

I'm still on 10.5.8 here . .on that one the demo software works .. but I am using it on a PC only ... so maybe someone else can chime in ...
Maybe a dual install of two OSX versions? No idea if such is even possible though. _________________ Jan
