Binson Echorec repair

Hi. I have a binson Echorec that doenst work.
Power is on. Fuses dont blow. Motor works. The green tube VU eye doesnt light up (probably becuase no signal is reaching the it). I have no output.

The transformer has 2 outputs it seems, one that is 63, or 6,3 volts ( i cant tell from the drawing, but i guess 6.3 is more normal?) and another output that has 250volts out.

I have tested and found out that i have power coming from the transformer to the motor, but not to the circuit that goes to the tube/high voltage part.

I swapped the rectifier, but still no luck. So my guess is that its the actual transformer thats dead. Well at least the 250v supply.

I cant seem to find any power transformers that have both 6.3 and 250v out. Any hints?

My suggestion to you is to take it in to a tech that works on tube guitar amps.
It looks like a prettyy straight forward circuit & a guitar amp tech should be able to navigate it ,without too much trouble.
The voltages inside this instrument CAN KILL YOU. Let us pray

If you are not aware that the voltage have to be 6.3 volts ,not 63, ( for the tube heaters) & that 6.3/ 250 volt transformers are very common ,in tube circuits, then you really should get your self up to speed before poking around in such a circuit.
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE OFENSE!. I just want you to be around to celebrate the next holiday with us. Smile

Having said that,,,it looks like the motor takes its power from the line side of the transformer ,so it could very well be dead,, but this is not nearly as common as other failures in the circuit.if you are testing voltages off the Load side of the transformer ,(WITH ONE HAND IN YOUR POCKET) these will be AC voltages , intill the recifieir .Hammond makes many 6.3/250 trannys. There are other less obvious ways to get a jolt from these old devices ,like hot chassis , open loads .capacitor discharge.So do sum serious reading on the subject Of working on high voltage circuits or call that ol tube buddy,before messing around with it.
