Feedback on my latest track |
 |
|
Hello everyone at electro-music!
Could you please give me feedback at my latest track?
I would appreciate feedback that improves the technical quality of the track.
I am still learning (and I'll probably do so my whole life) to become a better producer. Unfortunately I feel like my mixes aren't matching the 'industrial standards' just yet. So any feedback that brings me closer to that is highly appreciated
You can find the song here:

Thanks in advance!

Sorry Nickson - I have been very busy lately and haven't been able to keep up on reading all of the forum posts.
I really like the track. It sounds good!
Here is my feedback:
-Lower the level of the clap a bit. It seemed a little too loud to me.
-Add more low end to the kick drum. It sounds like maybe you EQ'd it so it doesn't interfere with the bass. It is usually better to EQ the kick frequency out of the bass track instead of the other way around.
-The overall levels of the different sections of the song vary a lot. I'm all for dynamic range, but this is a bit too much and doesn't sound intentional. Try evening out the levels a bit. Also, if you are using compression on the master track then the threshold won't be reached in some parts of the song. So you get parts with no compression and parts with lots.
-As I commented on the track a couple of weeks ago - my favorite part is the ending. I think you could cut that part off and use it for an new song. _________________ JacobWatters.com |

IMO, try this:
kick - mono
clap - mono, trim the decay a bit
sub bass - mono
everything else - stereo
EQing and song structure/narrative sounds good, but maybe lay off the kick rolls (one per song is plenty) and one big breakdown is enough
