Collection of Homemade Electronic Musical Instruments Subject description: Arduino Teensy 2.0 based MIDI controllers |

I made these MIDI controllers using Teensy 2.0 Arduino modules. They are my versions of traditional world instruments using Kontakt 5:

Very nice collection of electronic performance controllers--wildly creative in the most positive sense!!! Do you share the schematics, sketches, and sensor construction techniques (esp. for the "strings," mouth control, and ribbon) anywhere? Thanks for sharing; I enjoyed the video demonstration (part 1, so far).

Very cool. I would have never thought to try any of these, but you aroused my curiosity. |

that's a very impressive collection
I am curious what kind of sensor you used for the didge. |
I used a touch sensor like all other keys. Placing the mouth on the large metal cup (mouthpiece) which acts as a capacitance sensor triggers the Didge instrument sequence in Kontakt just like pressing a key on a MIDI keyboard. |

Wow! What a collection. I don't mind Teensy and programming - I mean craftmanship. Mechanics of this instruments is superb. |

ah ok, so it's not controlled by air movement and Kontakt is doing most of the work. It looks great and I love the additional light show
but I do hope its battery powered and completely isolated from any mains powered devices. _________________ "My perf, it's full of holes!"

All my MIDI controller instruments use USB MIDI interface to the PC. So they are tethered and not battery powered. |
