Looking more at https://pittsburghmodular.com/voltage-lab-2 currently .. then reserve the buchla money for a new car .. a used one .. ok Laughing

Ok .. but then the Taiga .. I want to be Sarah :: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-pzxGa0T7M Cool

Anyway, that was the only proper demo I saw

But anyway .. the wave shaping is pretty complex still .. but there is a filter .. and that BBD .. i want that . even if it is a pretty short delay .. pff good thing I'll be away from home for a bit. Oh and no keyboard .. good Smile

Oh I also brought out the NM Clasic .. it will need a midi interface tho .. four wires .. but I only have two now .. fokking roland made the old one unusable on nowadays computers .. just like they did with that nice usb sound interface I had .. one could call it . theft I guess.

Curious what made you decide to get it,.

4. getting something simple .. I had considered something rack .. but then when i look for modules .. it drives me nuts .. too many choices ..

I've built wren from scratch .. i do not want to do that with analog .. in wren it costs nothing but time .. the cost of modules .. it is silly .. you'd have to do it yourself .. aaand .. although I always have loved the meditative aspect of that .. I've become lazy .. and old.

So erm .. maybe .. djeez would one ever know such things .. I'm looking for simple but wild and not too expensive complete things that are not too much boutique like.

I'm copying a lot of my old cassette tapes to computer currently .. and I'm amazed actually about what in the past I've been able to do with minimal stuff .. with the self built element for the guitar .. using an old cassette recorder as my distorting amp .. with the synthon chip demo set ...

Anyway . I have no idea Laughing will see .. I need a bit more though .. the ecamples given before .. in digital .. some cooledit stuff that was brilliant .. in analog .. with the ms-20 I'm nearly there .. but it is missing some mods .. Ive mentioned some .. with wren i can do a lot of midi things .. and audio ..

anyway .. into that direction .. but no idea where that actually is . .we'll see Smile

So .. i've orderd that taiga .. as well as a midi interface .. 8x8 ... some patch cables .. new guitar strings and some light plectrums .. dug up the guitar fx and the nord modular classic as well .. that one might just work with midi .. after all ..

And now I seem to be wanting that granular thing ... 1010music lemom_something Cool

And no .. i dont want such a thing on an i-thingie .. i thing_k .. then better way too small .. i now thing_k ... but who knows the way thoughts fly.

ah this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiBRkbPoZyw

Oh and the orange one seems nice too . a sampler thing.

And I will be getting lost Shocked hopefully not for too long Rolling Eyes

edit : and i'll need to find my self-built guitar element .. the guitar is an acoustic one with metal strings .. the pickup is some pcb plates .. some bolts .. notls n butts ... and magnets and a lot of copper wire .. and in the past it worked like not bad at all .. when put in place with bits of cardboard Smile

edit 2 : It is really too bad I've lost that old transistor radio .. it was a really nice guitar fuzz .. after I had made an entry point on it .. maybe that V-Amp thing will mimic it. Oh and then go into the ms-20 signal in .. which is pretty close to what I used to have some decades ago .. who knows Smile

Created me some desk space .. and conected it up mostly .. it is snoring the night away happily Cool

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

the cacaphony of an ms-20, a nord modular, a wren and a taiga ..

and now try to make someting with it .. but first some more cables .. some longer 1/8" and midi.

This was all controlled from Wren .. it is not the handies t thing i noticed .. as Wren can only have one midi device .. I still can run multiple wrens that connect trough osc .. but handier would be one wren that can use multiple midi devices.

But for now .. me will be snoring too.

Oh .. BTW that taiga thing needs time .. nit much came out in half an hour .. but there is a lot of hidden stuff in modes .. and it has a tendency to make less wanted distortions .. needs a whip Shocked

ok .. ordered the lemon drop & the tangerine as well .. 1010music ..

also found in my closet a memo recorder which will do variable speed .. otherwise it is rather primitive .. but a thumbwheel for speed is pretty cool .. not sure yet if speed control will work on recording .. it will on rewind tho .. so seems to be a motor control. . but it did record at least . and as a memo recorder .. it will stop on 'no sound' [my very latest & last Sony Smile (well my dad had bought it .. but never used it it seems) .. ]

the never used bit .. is the bit i'll try to avoid now .. by earlier buying things .. i hope .. who knows ,, i'm old enough to to no longer care about being poor . or even broke might still be doable here Cool

And more cables are on the way ..

still did not re-string the guitar yet though, but did dig up an fx thingoe for it .. being berryhinger .. but with the ms-20 signal in that should give me somw 1990 sounds back .. and then .. that taiga .. it needs attention for all them modes it hides .. i did manage to get some clean-ish sounds now though.

I'll also want my G2 back .. seeing some promisses being developed there .. with my latest computers the old clavia sw will not work . the NM Classic now works fine though, with the Miditech 8x8 .. the strength of Midi . and now more relaiable tha ever it seems Smile
